      On Sat, July 27, 2024. I hired *************************, of *** and Mrs. ********************** for private investigator work discussed via email. On Sat, July 27, 2024, ******************** sent me the following email: From: ******************************* <********************************>Date: Sat, Jul 27, 2024 at 1:20PM Subject: Re: ******** To: *************************** <******************************>************ would recommend two complete days of surveillance 10 hours a day at $80 per hour plus 30 min travel each way. That would be $880 per day .. or $1760 plus an administrative fee of $350 that goes to report prep and also research needed such as plate runs etc and background checks on individuals we believe to be suspect.$100 per day disguised car rental So we need $2310 to get this going each additional day we will waive the 30 min travel an it would only be $800per dayextra Please email to our other email address which is *********************************************** Per his quote, I paid ******************** $2,310 via venmo per my statement from July:Completed transactions: *******************************, 8d -$2,310 It is now Aug 5th. On Wed, July 31st, he spent 2 hrs surveilling our home & stated he 'got nothing'. On Thurs, Aug 1st, he spent 1 hr surveilling our home & 1 hr following my husband to CVS.He said he wld follow my husband to ******* but decided to follow a 'suspect' home and drove home from there (wherever that was). He spent one hr with me on Fri, Aug 2nd in his vehicle (he never rented a vehicle - each day he was in the car registered to him with RI plates) when he stated he would be out for the wknd but would be at my home early Mon a.m. to do a 'bug' scan.He didn't respond to 2 calls and 2 emails all wknd, He was a complete no show today. We have no pictures, no reports, no background info on people, never rented a car, no background info on the *** I sent him nor the car tags I sent him.He completed 5.5 hrs of surveillance. He owes $1160 for surveillance, $350 for admin fee & $200 for a car never rented. Total due: $1710.00

      This complaint is totally erroneous and uncalled for we recommended a retainer however we exceeded the retainer based on the info Because this is a private investigation and confidential we cannot share with you any information on this case Or any photographs that we took already plates that we ran we sent the client all the information and the plates that she wanted to us to run exceeded the amount of her retainer this is why she's complaining because she didn't realize it was a retainer and not a total cost for the investigation I cannot comment on this further so do what you have to do but we will not engage in this type of communication with the third party when this is a private confidential investigation thank you
