1 starI shopped there all the time however I will never spend my money there again. I parked my car away from the store and cars as well as the carts because last year my car was hit while parked. I purchased a new car this year again away for all carts and cars. As I come out of work I noticed a Ocean State Job Lot cart stuck to my front bumper..it was 98 degrees and the metal part of their cart melted on my bumber. Ocean State ****** took no responsibility because they said there carriages are picked up every 15 minutes which is not true because there carts are ALL OVER the parking lot. Racist towards there employees ****** and ****** are evil as s*** and ****** and her daughter Nigella will go against you and get you fired, if your black dont work for these people. I left the company a week ago and they still talking about me, DRAMA FUELED COMPANY with half of the stuff in their store not priced very annoying and they dont have enough daytime cashiers, I wont be surprised if they go out of business the next 10 years and if they dont thats crazy and unbelievable. Management is terrible, employees are fake. Once you have one disagreement with someone in management they set you up for failure, very racist company they support more of the white and Spanish working in the company more than black and I seen it with my own eyes. They tried to set me up for stealing but I quit instead, very funny company. God Bless. You basically have to be a yes men to all managers even if they disrespect you and I wasnt tolerating it so they set me up but its ok like I said very racist company. They wont listen to you they just go with what managers think of you and ****** is a fat Hispanic manager that never engages with you, but talks about you behind your back to the other **************** he picked on someone so much who worked with the company for years to the point they quit a few weeks before me. This company runs on Hispanics trying to discipline you but very rudely and like your a slave. I wasnt having it so black people dont come here Im warning you ?? goes to show they only had like a few black customers a week and it wasnt new faces. Sometimes no black customers at all the past two months I worked there, Im telling the truth. The only non racist was *** and ******* , they moved them both immediately after I got hired. I knew once they left there was no decent real reason for me to stay long.****** threatened me saying she has a problem with me than next thing I know Im getting called in the office for stealing she set me up.Ocean State Job Lot

I made purchase online for a refurbished Juice Extractor, Order Number: ********, Order Date: 05/15/2025.There is no information when my order will ship and when I'll receive. For the anticipation of receiving Juice Extractor I bought fruit and produce for juice extraction, were be get bad or rotten. I'm sending emails to ocean State Job Lot customer service but no reply. Please be careful when placing online order, seems lower prices just for luring. OSJL can't fulfill the order.Ocean State Job Lot

While **** does our best to get orders out as quickly as possible, we have experienced a delay due to an influx of orders. When selecting your item, the customer is notified "Buy your items now and your order will typically arrive at your store within ***** days. See full details here"
There is also a disclaimer on the checkout page of our website alerting our customers of this delay.
"Please note, due to increased demand your shipment may take a few extra days. We appreciate your patience."
Mr ****** order was placed 5/115/25. In his original email on 5/16/25, he stated it was taking too long and requested to cancel his order.Our *************************** provided the information to cancel the order.We have had contact with Mr **** on 5/16, 5/19, 5/22, 5/23 and 5/30 keeping him updated on the status of his order.

I submitted an online order which would be delivered to the store within ***** days. After 14 days and receiving no email, I called the store to inquire about my order. I was told that it had not arrived, in fact, it had not even been pulled from the warehouse yet. A supervisor told me that she had no idea when or even if my order would ship because of staffing issues and that she could cancel the order. She also said it was against policy for me to speak to someone higher up than her that might have more information about my order.Ocean State Job Lot

The employees helped me , and customer service did what they could . But truth be told . Job Lot is Sketchy . If you purchase an item and receive the crazy deal card for it and then decide you want to return the item that issued you the crazy deal be forewarned . You need to return the items you bought on the crazy deal card first in order to return the items you bought that issued the crazy deal . Its so simple to display this . Basically if you return the items you bought that issued the crazy deal , without even picking it up in store (online ship to store order ) before returning the items you bought on the crazy deal card you will not get your cash back for the initial purchase , just the remainder of the crazy deal balance so make sure you have the full crazy deal balance available before returning your initial purchase . . Theirs is no turning back if you do this backwards . Stuck with useless merchandise credit that You Cannot Use to buy anything on a crazy deal .which makes no sense . job lot will hustle you . Dear corporate Job Lot employee whom responded . Heres my s your policy . If you notice the part thats states any crazy deal card issued for an online order cannot be redeemed until my item was ready for pickup in store ? I sure do . I bought a carpet online , bought the padding two days later with the crazy deal card . *** about five days after that my carpet was ready to pickup at which point I no longer wanted it . I went to job lot to return the padding completely and then hat my refund for my carpet . The employee refunded my carpet first instead of the padding. Resulting in the padding only being able to become merchandise credit . This was not correct policy as I should not have been able to redeem my crazy deal card prior topicking up my carpet according to your rules . How do you plan on fixing this ad now I have this carpet I am forced to keep *** am unable to get my money back for . Please email me at ******************** with a resolution . This incident was at a different store ( *******************************************************************************) Could not find correct store upon searching. Cashier ( ***** )was very rude and condescending. He made me feel very inadequate for not knowing where to return a pillow. I bought 4 shorts and he spoke to me in such a rude manner saying " YOU CAN TAKE THE HANGERS OFF" as in it was suchhh an inconvenience for him (the worker) to do so. I said that's fine ill help you, I can do 2 and you can do two, he clearly did not want to do it, im not sure why, it is such a simple thing to do, so I proceeded to take 2 out of 4 hangers of the shorts and with the last one he was waiting for me to do it as well. His demeanor was so condescending and inappropriate. I paid for my items and than proceeded to go to the service desk to process my return, the lady working there was so kind and you could just tell that she was a good person and great worker! I shop at this location in **********,******* often. At least once a week & spend a lot of money there. Today Friday, MAY 31st, 2024will be the last time I ever shop there. From the time I walked in a VERY OBVIOUS,INCREDIBLY MEAN OFF PUTTING WOMAN stared at me the whole time I was at the checkout line. SHE was not a cashier. I have NO IDEA WHAT HER title is & I dont care.I noticed her watching me periodically while I was shopping which was extremely annoying as I was doing nothing WRONG. She had a strange irritated attitude just watching me strangely without even blinking as I was doing my shopping. She looked angry which was just unprofessional!I ignored her but it was obvious she was watching me in particular. I shop there often without incident. I felt uncomfortable as if she was profiling ME. I was leaving spent $130. On the way out the cashier saw I had two cases of soda located on the bottom of my cart. I put the items on the counter at the start of the checkout process at which point the cashier suggested we scan them last. I forgot they were there & so did the cashier. The cashier noticed as I left that we overlooked them so I went back in the store to pay for them. Next,the cashier noticed two items next to my GIANT PURSE that were small and scrunched we didn't see. I was tired from working all day & a bit absent minded,not STEALING. I sincerely FORGOT to pay for the two items so I got my debit card out to pay at which point the HORRIFICALLY ANGRY UNKNOWN EMPLOYEE started pointing & yelling for the whole store to hear that my receipt needed to be checked as if I was stealing merchandise!!! I was just trying to pay for the items. Pure,misunderstanding. She was yelling extremely rudely all while staring at me stone faced. I have NEVER had a person treat me so UNPROFESSIONALLY in a public setting. It was humiliating. This woman should NOT be in customer service if this is her type of demeanor. I was in the store 12/6/23 - the customer before me was greeted kindly and as she was leaving even wished a Merry Christmas. I was next in line and the clerk #*** asked me if I had an insider card to which I commented yes. He said "Are you sure?" to which I then began giving him the telephone no. ( Im of black ethnicity ) . I placed my items for lunch on the counter and he said is that all your going to buy ? I then said which you like me to buy more ? He then asked about rounding up for food bank and I declined. He said "It's only rounding up to the nearest dollar ". I then said no again. What this person does not realize is that I frequent the store and I always round up but was very upset with his attitude. I think it very important that if you have clerks that are non socialized and are awkward serving people of other races it could practice not to place them on the front lines. It's very uncomfortable being serviced by someone who is awkward with other races. By the way to top it all of I certainly wasnt wished a Merry Christmas or greeted in the way of the previous customer. Not very nice ! changes need to be made and "all" customers to have a great customer experience whether "black" or white or "any " nationality for that matter. If your not of white ethnicity I would urge you to go elsewhere the experience that you'll receive at this store is shameful !Ocean State Job Lot

1 starI was in the Ocean State Job Lot in ********** ************ on June 4 2023, I fell in there store and was told Corporate would contact me the next day to check on me, it's been 2 days, no one has called, I bruised my hip and knee, when I called the local store they seemed like I was bothering them. I would like something done about this matter because I could have been seriously hurt and they never offered an apology or even called to see if I was OK. I am a frequent customer there and I think some of the employees are very rude and unprofessional!!
