I patronized Needle and Thread, Saturday evening 2/3/24, around 10:30pm, I purchased two drinks, one for myself and one for my friend who was meeting me there. I go to use the bathroom, and once in the bathroom I here a knock at the door and a rattle of the doorknob. I just ignore it thinking it was just someone checking to see if the bathroom was in use. The bathroom door being locked was the confirmation that I felt was sufficient enough for whomever was knocking, so I continued with my business in the bathroom only for the door to be unlocked and opened by on of the Needle and Thread employees while I was standing at the sink washing my hands. I was totally shocked and appalled by this act of privacy invasion by the Needle and Thread staff. I said to her the door was definitely locked, and I slammed the door and lock it back. I leave the bathroom once I was finished, only to be offered a mediocre apology by some guy, where he was taking responsibility for the mistake. I brush him off stating that I didn't want to hear what he had to say, because there was no good reason for that to have happened in the first place. I was not in the bathroom long, so there was no complaint about the wait time, and there was hardly a line for the bathrooms. And if I was in there for a while, the staff could have made a clear announcement that they would be opening the door before actually doing it, that would have gave me not only a heads up but a choice to either speak up or have the door opened without my consent. The guy then states that I could get out! All because I was upset about having my privacy invaded! I didn't respond to his apology the way that he found acceptable so he kicked me out and called me a derogatory phrase of ratchet. It was an unfortunate, stressful situation to endure and I hope no one else has to go through the invasive, pushiness of the staff, management and or ownership at this place.
