Tried to delete my account, when I did the app "logged me out" and when I tried to log back in, they lied and said they didn't have a record of my account. I have over 5 emails that proves thats a lie, and now there's no way to EVER delete my information off of their site. Then they'll sell that info to an internet pirate and say they were "hacked" How the f*** the *** isn't investigating this is beyond me, but I can't wait until they get started.

Do NOT use Splitwise to make a payment or transfer money.Splitwise, if used to transfer/move money, is a scam. Splitwise will hold onto your money for extended periods of time and make it tortuous to receive payment. At every step they will try to make you PAY to get your money on a timely basis. When someone (foolishly) sends you money directly via Splitwise, you'll be notified that it take 4-6 days for the funds to be available, even thought the sender reports an immediate withdrawal of the funds. After you give Splitwise your banking numbers and after you "activate" your account (which itself takes 1-3 days), Splitwise shows no information for 1-2 days about the funds. Nothing. It is as if the money has vanished, but Splitwise suggests (through in app ads) that you upgrade to Splitwise Pro for about $5 per month. After a couple of days, Splitwise reports your funds are available, and suggests (through in-app ads) that if you want your money immediately, you pay them $25 -or- you can wait another 2-3 business days for your funds. If you pass up the $25 offer and take the free option, two things happen:(1) You have been without payment for two weeks. Yes, two weeks.(2) You may be notified "You have exceeded the $800 per week limit for this account". You may have to wait weeks and weeks more to get your money.Simply put, Splitwise takes money owed to you and denies access to it for 2 weeks at a minimum, possibly much longer. This is a scam and theft, Splitwise is using your money to to make money off of "the float" by denying access to your money.I don't know about RI law, but in most states this is pretty illegal.
