      We had damage to our condo due to water damage of our upstairs neighbor. We reported it to Narragansett and they set it to their insurance company. The damage was about $5k. Everything was fixed and closed. To years later, we tried to get home insurance for a new house, and our cost went from $1,200 to $2,900 after the new insuranse company saw that we had a claim against us because of this event. Narragansett reported it as our fault, and they paid $1200 of the money, without ever telling us. It was agree by both sides it was all the other persons fault, obviously. But, because this company didn't do their job correctly, it is costing me thousands, until this claim falls of of our history. DO NOT do business with this company!

      NBIC is proud of our customer service, and we apologize Mr. ******* found it necessary to contact your organization. He is concerned the claim is showing on the LexisNexis report. Because a claim was filed and paid, it will appear on the report, and we cannot remove it. It is standard industry practice to provide an insured with a Letter of Experience (***) concerning a filed claim,to forward to the new carrier. From there, the new carrier would code the claim accordingly. Our file notes indicate we furnished a *** in accordance with Mr.Heilmans November 18, 2024, request. Our customer service representatives subsequently spoke with the Heilmans on 1/20/25 and 1/21/25 and explained that because a claim was filed and paid, it will show on the LexisNexis report, and we cannot remove the claim. Mrs. ******* accepted our explanation. We trust our response to these concerns is satisfactory.

      If I could give them negative stars I would. Just found out if I change insurance companies Narragansett has a 50% minimum earned premium. Meaning they will keep half of the premium I have paid up front. I have never had a claim and in 1 year my insurance went to 3k to 5600/yr. They are robbing me to line their pockets. This should be ILLEGAL!!!!

      I have filed claim due to flood damage. They never return calls. Keep sending me text messages. Poor customer service. Its been almost 10 days since claim was filed and still waiting for an adjuster to show up.

      NBIC prides itself on customer service and apologizes **************** found it necessary to contact your organization regarding service on his claim. While no policy number was provided, we were able to locate a record for ****************. Our notes file indicates his claim has been open 9 days. Initially, we had trouble connecting with ****************, via telephone, to arrange an appointment. On 1/19/24, which is the same day he posted his review, we were finally able to reach him to arrange an appointment. We trust our response to his claim is satisfactory.

      NBIC prides itself on customer service and apologizes this policyholder found it necessary to post a 1-Star review regarding our service. We are unable to locate a policy for *********************** on our records. If you can supply us with a policy number, we will be glad to look into the matter further. Otherwise, we ask that the statement be removed from our record. Thank you.

      This company sent me a notice to say I was late for Homeowners insurance which was horrifying to me since I am never late, when I contacted them they said not to worry and that it showed that it has been paid. The problem was that I had two policies with them and only one was paid and one was not. I went over my 20-day period to reinstate the price that was offered but they denied it and said now I have to pay an additional $600 totaling over $1440. After asking for reinstatement I was denied and she just reiterated everything I had told her. She says that since I overlooked the 20-day period now i have to pay the new price. Why do i have to pay if it is their fault?

      ******************** (*****) was e-mailed a notification on 11/20/2022 advising an invoice was available to view online with a due date of 12/27/2022. A payment was not received by the due date and legal notice of cancellation for non-payment was mailed on 1/3/2023. The legal notice advised the policy would be cancelled effective 12/27/2022 if payment was not received by 1/18/2023. Payment was not received by 1/18/2023 and Confirmation of Cancellation document was mailed to her on 1/19/2023. The Company notified the customer of the outstanding balance due and due date. The legal notice indicating the policy would be cancelled was sent via certificate of mailing, as required. Our system does not have any notes on file indicating the insured was ever advised she was all set and policy was paid. We do have notes in our system indicating the insured called for reinstatement, however we could not allow reinstatement per our company guidelines. ******************** (*****) also reached out to our underwriting department via the email address on file for her online account with our company where we reiterated we could not reinstate her policy. The company did not provide any other additional monetary charges as we are not offering reinstatement and the policy is cancelled effective the renewal date of 12/27/2022.
