The.n they attached themselves to the claims I submitted , I am 80% on my own , they had to renegotiate my fee agreement cause they kept dropping ball. Feb 2025 their claim was denied even with a nexus letter. I was the. Awarded 10 Percent they went around my back and took 20 percent for a claim they didnt work on. After I fired them they are still sending the VA Notices that I owe them any earnings for work they didnt do ! Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does satisfy my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint #********. However, nothing contained in my initial complaint was inaccurate, the services rendered to me were subpar and based on that, I do not recommend CCK. They highly stepped up their communication after my complaint was lodged with BBB. In my opinion, they were not forthcoming with the overall communication and resulted me in losing months of staleness on my claimsI understand that by choosing to accept the business response that my complaint will be closed.

I decided to contact the better business bureau because this is my third and final request for this company to send me a letter of release. The first two times I requested this the owner ******* Chisholm calls me to tell me what he is doing with my case and that even if I win any of my cases they will need payment. He said that they were not trying to strong arm me (his exact words) into staying with their company. I believe that is exactly what this company is and has been doing to me. So I waited until my last appeal decision on the total temporary disability for migraines which they decided to do when I do not want to be tdiu but to receive 100 percent disability for the many other health ailments and be legitimately paid at 100 percent not based on tdiu. I called today Friday Feb 28th @ approximately 12:30 noon est to request a letter 100% releasing me from their company. I no longer require their services. It is my hope that the law firm will do the right thing because the next step for me is to contact the ************ *************** to file a complaint in regards to what I just shared. I only ask that I recieve in the mail a letter totally releasing me from services at this law firm as non of my claims gave won anything and seeing this company works with veteran on a contingency basis it should be done as soon as possible. Clients have the right not to continue with lawyer services whether paid or unpaid. I look forward to receiving a letter in the mail as soon as possible, with 3 - 5 business days. If I do not receive the letter of release I will be forced to send a letter of complaint via mail to the ************ law Association. It is my right and my choice of whether I want the seevices of any law firm and there is absolutely no reason for me not to receive the letter. Thank you for your time and I look forward to a positive resolution.Business Response

Thank you for the opportunity to respond. CCK is proud to have successfully defended this client against VAs proposed benefit reduction, and to have worked towards increasing his benefits. Despite our efforts, this client has wavered between wanting to end our representation and wanting us to continue representing him. We believe that we have honored his wishes throughout our relationship. We will continue to honor his wishes by ending our representation now. We are honored to have helped this client and we wish him well.Initial Complaint

Ok I submitted my claim to the office for evaluation of a veteran benefits evaluation. They took my claim and we're to evaluate it. They took my information and looked at my claim. They said that they couldn't take it but that I could talk to DAV. They failed in the principles of evaluation which means they looked at it but felt that something was missing. In an evaluation the person should have an indication what was the reason for their not accepting it so that the person will have an opportunity to address the issue and decide whether they should continue or something else. They took my information and now have it with no indication what they intend to do with it. When someone confides in you it's a trust you have the right to reject but in a legal matter you should give an opinin expressing what was wrong. This is an issue for my life and health.Business Response

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to Mr. ************************ ******************** was a potential client who contacted our law firm,CCK, for legal representation. ******************** alleges that CCK failed in the principles of evaluation because CCK did not provide him with a legal opinion as part of its free evaluation. ******************** also states that he has no indication what CCK intends to do with the information that he provided to CCK. We will now address ******************** assertions in turn.
CCK provides free case evaluations to potential clients. The free evaluation involves the potential client providing CCK with basic information on their claim, CCK evaluating the information, and then CCK letting the potential client know whether we can represent them. Here, CCK provided ******************** with a free case evaluation.
CCK reviewed the information that ******************** provided and promptly, within approximately 24 hours of receiving complete basic information, informed him that we were not able to assist him. We never engaged ******************** as a client and we did not charge ******************** a fee. We suggested that he contact DAV, which is a ***************************** that might be able to assist. Because ******************** was not our client, we were not able to provide him with the legal opinion that he sought on his situation. Unfortunately, ******************** became confrontational when expressing his frustration.
We treated ******************** information with great care. We used the information that ******************** provided solely to evaluate whether we could assist him. We keep such information confidential.
While we are sensitive to ******************** situation, contrary to ******************** complaint, CCK responded properly to his request for representation. We ask that you dismiss ******************** complaint against CCK. Please let us know if you require additional information.
