I am writing to express my concerns regarding the communication practices of the Director of Nursing, Mrs. ***** at Elmwood Health Center. I went to visit my uncle today Mr. ****** and wanted to speak with the Head of Nursing Mrs. ***** about my uncles health condition and she prioritizes paperwork instead of assisting me and two other family members. I experienced a lack of priority placed on engaging with patients' families about their loved ones' health, a crucial aspect of patient care that directly impacts both the patients and their families' peace of ******* you know, communication is an integral part of healthcare, especially when it comes to the family members who may not always be able to visit or speak with their loved ones regularly. In times of illness, families rely heavily on healthcare professionals, especially nursing staff, to provide updates on patient progress, treatment plans, and any changes in condition. Unfortunately, it seems that the Director of Nursing has not prioritized this aspect of care, leading to frustration and anxiety for families who feel they are not adequately informed or involved in their loved ones' care.While I understand the challenges that come with managing a large department and the many responsibilities that nursing leadership entails, I firmly believe that fostering transparent and compassionate communication with families should be a top priority. Families need to be informed in a timely and empathetic manner to make the best decisions for their loved ones' well-being. The absence of such communication can lead to confusion, a breakdown of trust, and ultimately, a diminished quality of care.I would greatly appreciate your attention to this matter and any steps that can be taken.Sincerely,******** ****** ************
