Predatory business practices.. literally trying to extort ex tenants. I paid three months rent ($6450) as a lease breakout fee prematurely as they handily masqueraded the lease breakout fee as a 5 day quit possession notice was mailed for non payment of rent (conveniently the sum of the lease breakout fee) even though I was never late on rent and the lease breakout fee is separate. Had I not decided to check my mail when I did (two days after the letter had been mailed), I wouldve been wrongfully and deceptively evicted. Also, Took months to repair my a/c without so much of the inclusion of a wall unit to mitigate the heat, and continually had lead inspections where maintenance would come the day of to paint before the inspector gets there. I move out and theyre attempting to charge me 1100$ for paint touch **** Even after I said I agreed to pay the 300$ for the blinds (overinflated total) and 25$ for the smoke detector. Theyve already received three months rent ($6450) and kept my 2150$ security deposit, which deductions for supposed damages are supposed to come from. Outside of the ************** detector ($325) I refuse to pay this company any more money. Touch up painting is not the responsibility of the tenant especially since lead was the issue. The owner doesnt get a free full house paint job at my expense.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I understand your frustration with the move-out charges, and I want to reassure you that weve carefully reviewed and documented the charges for blinds, a smoke detector, and touch-up painting based on the units condition at move-out.
Regarding the 5-day demand notice, we apologize for any stress it caused and appreciate your understanding when we previously discussed it. While we followed standard procedures, we recognize there may have been opportunities for better communication, and well work to improve that. If you have any further concerns, feel free to reach out.

Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ********. I reject the response by the business. I notice you haven't provided documentation for BBB to see, they see that I have; that in itself is already sketchy. I notice how you cannot even respond to the accusations levied against you and offer a haphazard apology for the the shady 5 day letter tactic. YOU KEPT THE DEPOSIT. THE SECURITY DEPOSIT BY LAW IS FOR "PERCEIVED" DAMAGES. I paid 2150$ for the deposit, take your fradulent damages out of the security deposit like a reputable company would. Tenants are not responsible for $1,000 + paint job due to the fact that you had lead paint in the unit. That is a you problem. You will receive $325. Nothing more.

You lied. I will be screenshotting this for review. You said it was related to touch up paint. I have the bill and have sent it to the BBB. STOP THE GOALPOST MOVING, lol like a slimey company now you say its related to cleanliness, yet it wasn't on the move out form and you havent provided documentation. It is documented that it is in reference to "touch up paint and baseboards" as I have proven in my screenshots..those that you lack. I refuse to pay your org another dime outside of the $325, If you feel otherwise serve me. Keep the deposit. You will not see another dime.

I have been renting from stonelink management property for a year and a half and they have the worst service. They have been lead testing in our home for months and never have given us information of why they keep constantly going in our home unannounced and also with employees that speak no English to be able to explain what is going on. They have opened the door to our apartment when I was alone and indecent, with no knock or warning. They have been falsely fixing things in our apartment not really fixing the issues. They have double charged us for rent and never gave a call back for our issues. Every person we meet for stonelink company have no clue what they are doing nor capable to explain it either. We have tried to reach the company several times with no answer to our double charge, why they keep doing lead inspection and no update when we have a child in the unit. They have gone into our apartment to fix what ever it is they need, but everything stays the same if not worst, not to mention they leave their filth behind. They have left chipped wood and paint all over our home with no remorse to at-least pick up after themselves. All of our windows are broken and drafty and have done nothing about it. This company has been moving in suspicious ways and we have been trying to contact higher management and never get a call back. We want our money and deposit to be able to move to a better home than this where the future home owner or company can provide proof for their services and not have to worry about double charges as well as a company where their employees can properly communicate with us. Big flag is the lead testing. Their employees and extra men that come in say its lead testing, when we called the company they say its not, theres a lot of back and forth and no real answer and we are tired of lack of privacy, respect, and customer service that this company provides. Our rent was increased and there has been no changes to the unit or lead testing.

**************** moved out of the unit and left the unit trashed resulting in $2343.00 in resident damages. We have the inspection report from 8/4 explaining the charges. **************** moved out on July 30, 2023
We issued him a disposition notice to pay for the damage = $843.00 due. $843.00 included the $650 security deposit being withheld.
We offered to give back the $650 if he came back to clean up the apartment and left the apartment in broom-swept condition. He didnt we kept the deposit. The resident had a prepayment of $1500.00 in his ledger from government aid money. $650 was a security deposit. $850.00 was a prepayment from the ***************** from back in June 2022.
This money was paid from the ***************** and not the resident, it was used towards damages. The resident has been uncooperative to this day.
