      A-Tec Chimney came out to replace a chimney at our home in September of 2022. For this service, we paid $3350. The installation was improperly completed, leading to ceiling and wall water damage. They came out to fix the issue with silicone and we were told we had to take care of the damage caused by the chimney ourselves. After a few months, we recently had new water damage in the same area. A tech came out to investigate. During his investigation, he dropped a large HVAC vent which damaged our recently renovated wall and floor. He informed us that the roofing, installed by the masons, was installed incorrectly because they are masons, not roofers. The roof had to be reopened and reinstalled around the chimney to remedy the issue. There was no charge for this service.When asked about the damage caused by the tech and incorrect installation, he said that the owner did not want to put it through insurance and he would have to fix it. As he didnt have any previous flooring experience, I told him I would rather it be fixed professionally. He told me the owner would be in contact.A week later, there was no contact. I reached out to the owner to inquire as to when the repairs would be done. He told me that he wouldnt be repairing anything. After explaining all the damage had been done as a result of incorrect installation, he asked me to send him pictures.Days went by and I realized that the owner had blocked my number. I called from another phone and the owner explained he wasnt going to make any repairs. Furthermore, I was told that if I had any other issues from the install and wanted to be a nit-picking customer, I was now on my own.
