      I hired Coastal Counters and Cabinets, in Tiverton, RI, on 1/6/25. ******* ********, the owner, was hired to install flooring, paint, install quartz countertop, install a dishwasher, scrape, skim, sand and paint popcorn ceiling in two rooms and other small jobs in my small condo.The dishwasher was never installed or taken out of the box.He did a sloppy and incomplete job painting. It could not be touched up, I had to hire a painter to repaint the condo. The ceiling was never properly finished and pin sized holes started to show throughout the ceiling and needed to be redone properly.He measured the quartz backsplash wrong, leaving a big gap between side and back of backsplash. I hired someone to fill the area with tiles to disguise the error. He overfilled the backsplash with caulk it's spilling out of the seams and there are green colored stains throughout part of the caulking.He cracked my mini ******** floors were installed in the wrong direction. When my husband and I pointed out things we were unhappy with, ******* got extremely angry and started yelling and cursing at us. My husband and I are senior citizens and believe that ******* took advantage of us and bullied us.******* offered to spend a few hours to touch up his errors but due to his aggressive behavior, we felt unsafe having him back on our property. I was later informed of a previous incident that ******* was involved in which assured me that it was the right decision not to allow him on my property. As of today ******* ********** GC license is invalid. I'm asking for $2900.00 to go toward fixing the repairs needed. They could not be "touched up". It cost me a minimum of $5000.00 to fix the work. This does not include what it will cost to repair the mini split, the caulk in the backsplash or flooring. I withheld $1300.00 from the final payment, but that only covered a fraction of the repairs,Pictures and receipts have been sent to ******* but he has ignored my request.

      This is certainly a frustrating situation with this specific customer. We as a company took our time to work with the homeowners on a number of the tasks asked of us to complete.
      I regret excepting this specific project.

      The homeowners were not present and many details were done by phone conversation.

      They bought this small condo and kept implying that they would do many other repairs if they had the money. ( I was skeptical), against my better judgment I took the job.
       We did all of the work and we had a walk-through, which the customer insulted our craftsmanship and character.
      We worked hard and I do not take lightly people speaking ill of us when they dont have an idea, what it took to bring the project to that level.
      I offered many times to bring resolution and allow us back into their home to complete the work to their liking, they refused.  They held money back from the final payment.
      I truly tried and in the end we were denied due process.
      Kindly;

      Coastal Counters & Cabinets.

      Please see attached pictures.

      I bought a small summer condo to use after my days boating, only cosmetic work was needed, no repairs or projects.
      ******* met with me in the morning and sent me a proposal that same night.  He wanted to start almost immediately but I needed approval from the *** before he could start.  This doesnt sound like someone who wasnt sure about taking the job.
      Money was not an issue.  I paid him 50% before he started and 25% a week later with the last payment due when job completed, just as he requested.
      I did not allow him to correct his work because of his threatening behavior toward my husband and me.  He did apologize but the damage was done and my *** does not allow this type of behavior and language so his returning was not an option.
      His response is putting blame on me and accusing me of not having money for projects.  I assure you, the only things needed in this condo were cosmetic and I had that done. I had the whole condo repainted because ********* work was so sloppy it couldnt be touched up.  There were damages done to my property and neglect. ********* response does not rectify the problem.  I am only looking for reimbursement for the monies I spent correcting the work and damage done by *******.  Please see pictures.

      Regards,

      *****
