    we had the same problem as **********, a brand new Viessmann installed in our home that immediately gave us error codes constantly. The igniter rod was replaced after a few weeks which didn't fix it, for more than a year our contractor was out here doing service calls for error codes, he was an hour away and we were without heat and hot water countless times. Viesmann tech support in Warwick was horrid, they were no help and admitted that they are not to speak with homeowners, they will only deal with their contractors. So, I called another one of their contractors and after an hour he discovered that our brand new boiler was shipped with a hole in the tank. At that point the contractor told us it was unsafe and it had to be shut down. This was the end of November in ********************* and I had family visiting the next day. Our only solution was to buy another boiler since waiting for parts could take weeks. I was somewhat confident that ******** would step up and refund my money for the original defective, and frankly, dangerous unit but what followed really turned me against this company. It has now been over 8 months without a word from ******** even after sending them a letter in February, I have been dealing with my contractor who is just as frustrated as myself. The unit had to be inspected by their rep before they could issue a refund, in May of this year I was told the credit had been 'processed', still no refund, but I'm told now a check is being sent for $3000. This is a little less than a third of what I've paid originally and in the meantime have paid for another one of their boilers out of pocket, not to mention the defective boiler was using way more propane than a safer unit would have. I have spoken to other HVAC contractors in my area and they have said they simply won't sell Viesmann for this and other reasons.**** P: have a contractor check if your boiler has a small hole in it, there is a history of them being shipped this way.

    I have owned a Viessmann boiler since 2015. The Vitodens 200 model. It has worked on and off since we have bought it. The more we have spent to fix it with certified ******** technicians the worse it has performed over time. We are now at the point where the Boiler only works for hours at a time before it needs to be reset for a combustion error. Nothing in our home has changed since the day it was installed. The company has been unresponsive and continues to suggest we spend more money on pointless repairs that have only made the issue worse. Combustion Error EE on the display panel FAULT sends me to the boiler room 2 times a day when we have no heat or hot water. There are LOTS of other choices in the market.
