      On Nov. 16, 2024 my daughter purchased a bag of Orijan cat food that she never used before. Our little kitty became very sick and the complaint was sent to **************, the distributer of this food. Rumford was notified about this. Orijan came back and said the the food was within reason. I notified ***** the store manager, who told the owner. I had sent an email to ****** and he told me to bring the bag of cat food into the store so he could look at it. I clearly stated that I did not want to leave the bag, because this was my only proof of the product made our cat sick. We had vet bills that amounted to $1,439.37. This bag of cat food was given to Corin and she assured me that it would be safe there and nothing would happen to it as she put a sticker on the bag (Not to Remove). Well after a week the bag disappeared. The problem is that the (*** for Pets) when I contacted them during this time told me that they would not only need all the information on the bag, which I sent to Champion Foods, but they would need samples of the actual cat food that made Squeaks sick. I went into Rumford on this past June 10th and spoke to ***** again. I can not let this go as Rumford Pet Store tossed or lost this bag. I need to hold them responsible for this as without this bag of cat food, we have not proof that the food was bad. I have to be refunded for our Vet bills. On June 10th, ***** sent an email to the store manager and I was told by ***** that the manager would contact me. I know that they are avoiding me.

      I did receive an email from a manager.  He told me that it was my fault that I left the bag of cat food there.  I told him that I was told by ******* the store manager to leave the bag there for the owner to look at it.  She assured me that it would be safe.  This bag of cat food was my only hope to go to the *** for Pets for help.  And it disappeared which was not my fault.  I am holding Rumford Pet Store for the full costs of the Vet bill.  I was willing to split the cost and give them a chance to make good for the bad food they sold me that made our little kitty sick.
