Contractor refusal to complete job until more money is paid. From day 1 after he received all I had from insurance company his attitude changed. Did not start when he said he would, accused me of talking with his workers smelled alcohol on them . Left our yard a mess for weeks ,smelled alcohol on worker, one was actually sleeping on the roof. And now demanding more money before the job is complete. What if I am not satisfied, or work promised not done, or wanting more and more. I think this is elderly abuse and price gouging. Please help

This is Gerald Marseille residential builder for PGC Installation. This complaint by this customer is completely incorrect. The customer advised us that she has no money to make her remaining payment and then started getting upset because we were concerned that she advised us that she didn’t have the rest of the payment Since that time we’ve met with the customer and we have assured the customer that we always complete our jobs. The customer went down to ensure that the work that we’ve done is inspected, and we have prepared an architectural drawing site plan and submitted it for immediate processing. We were instructed to continue the work by adding all of the plywood and fill paper and we are pending an approval for the permit to finish the roofing of the three top shingles and the vinyl soffit ceiling there is probably two full business days of work left before this job is completed. We personally look forward to completing the job and if we are not paid, we are going to pursue litigation. The customer is fabricating and making up stories. Unfortunately, this is very common tactic that some customers used to bully small business owners, such as myself we are well aware of this tactic, and we addressed this tactic with professionalism and poise, and we do not let it distract us from completing the job in a professional ethical manner, and we know that the laws on our side if a customer does not pay us in full. We have a contract with this customer and we plan to uphold this contract to the fullest. The contract is for $14,500. The customers only paid us 3/4 of that and when the job is completed if we don’t get the remaining balance, we will pursue litigation. The customer has chose to write a negative review to try to slander our name in the public, which is a very malicious thing to do considering that other contractors were prepared to charge $18,000 for the same project we gave her a discount to try to assist with many upgrades, but as in many cases whenever you try to do something good you can often get punished for it and in business there’s no such thing as doing something for free, which we will no longer be doing such nice things at all

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

    Sincerely,

**** ******* pcg installation  owner Gerald Marseilles  answer to my complaint is untrue. WHAT he does  is quote  you one thing  says another and write another. Makes all sorts of promises he doesn't  keep.  He received money  over a month job still not complete . He was asking  for more money before the job was completed.  He is a pathological  liar. This is his mo .He  has done  this same thing before.  Read his reviews.  HE WAS NEVER TOLD HE WAS NOT GOING TO GET PAID. WHAT HE WAS TOLD HE GOING TO GET PAID WHEN THE JOB IS COMPLETED.  I do however expect everything  he stated he would  do to be done including my gutter and down sprout  that state farm has  already  paid for.

***** ****** and her family are simply trying to be vindictive and trying to ruin my personal and business reputation as an intimidating fear factor. These people are completely ridiculous, childish and obsurd. She hired me to install a new guest bathroom and did. She then hired me to install new windows and I did, she then hired me to install new kitchen island cabinets and master bathroom and I did. She then hired me to paint her living room and kitchen with new wood flooring and I did she had minor touch up that need to be done on siding outside after installing new window and some work to be done in her pool house but *** ** **** *** ******** who lives in it all day refuses to allow to crew to do work. She refuses to answer calls I went over there and she had her family ask to leave via threats now she’s on here saying she wants us to finish she must be crazy after threatening me and asking me to leave. She’s upset I that she has no septic tank for her home and she wanted me to run a pipe into the ground as her disposal and I told it could not be done that way now she wants to waste her time attacking me online which is laughable that a grown woman would spend her time doing that when I’ve been nothing but respectful to her. She is the one that fired me from completing not the other way around

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/08/02) */ Good Afternoon My name is Gerald ** ********* with PGC Installation LLC. *********** ******** requested our services from another state. He is located in ***** we are in the CSRA in Georgia and South Carolina. He had a a tree located in the front of the home directly next powerlines and directly in front of the home. We initially only received a blurry single pic of the tree and thats all we had to go on. Upon showing up for the job we realized other companies had been out already and declined the job. We also realized we would need a crane which would make the job more expensive. After several weeks and attempts both parties opted the not to move forward. We requested a partial refund for the trips that were made to the home with equipment but have now just agreed to pay mr. ******** back his entire funds. We have reached out to him and he has agreed to update this statement once the refund is received we will be processing his refund immediately Consumer Response /* (3000, 17, 2022/08/16) */ I have not received my refund
