I contacted Southern Comfort HVAC on *****/23 to service and clean my two AC Units, was quoted $250.00 and Cameron would be doing the service call. Cameron was not able to keep his appointment with me and sent Zak. Zak came out, mentioned his company truck was in the shop and serviced one unit; however, he ran short on time and couldn't fully service the 2nd unit until the next day. Zak mentioned both units were very dirty and I needed to install $3,000 air cleaning units on each system. I declined and said that we should wait until the units are serviced again to see how dirty they become as I had purchased the house about a year ago and I didn't have any history on the systems other than some receipts provided by the previous owner. Zak left and a short time later was texting me about a different $1300 unit he could get from another business that was new in the box; however, purchased for a different customer that declined to install it. Zak and I agreed on $750 installed with the paperwork and 3-year warranty registration to be provided by Zak upon installation. After installation, Zak informed me that he paid for the unit himself and that I needed to pay him directly and he would send me the paperwork/warranty registration as soon as he could get to his computer. Shortly after Zak left and being paid $750, Cameron texts me shortly with a payment demand of $450 on a $250 quoted job. I inquire why the charges are nearly double what was quoted and was told they had two make two trips. I told Cameron that I already paid Zak $750 fir the cleaning unit and Cameron tells me that was a private transaction he didn't know about it. Since then, I have texted both Cameron and Zak to send me paid receipts, paperwork/manuals/warranty registration; however, they have ignored me. I believe I have been scammed by Cameron and Zak and would like some help having a portion of my money refunded and warn potential customers of some shady practices this company uses.
