      I am filing this complaint because Aiken Barnwell Community Action Agency (ABCCAA) – Cayce Office at 1919 Augusta Road, Cayce, SC 29033 is completely unresponsive, leaving vulnerable residents without the critical assistance they need.

      I have personally called over 200 times, and not once has anyone answered. The one time my call did go through, no one picked up, and there is no option to leave a voicemail. This has been an issue for years, and it is beyond unacceptable.

      People are having their electricity shut off because they cannot get through to request assistance. Many in our community, including myself, are in dire situations, struggling to keep the power on. ABCCAA is supposed to provide emergency relief, yet they are completely inaccessible.

      This is not just an inconvenience—it is a failure of duty that is putting lives at risk. There is no excuse for an agency receiving public funding to ignore the very people they are meant to serve.

      I am demanding immediate action:

      A full investigation into why this office is unreachable and why calls are being ignored.
      Immediate corrective measures to ensure staff are available and answering phones.
      Accountability for this negligence, including consequences for those responsible.
      This is an urgent situation, and I expect a prompt response and resolution. If this issue is not addressed immediately, I will escalate this complaint to higher state agencies and local news outlets to expose the failures of this organization.

      Please respond as soon as possible with details on what actions will be taken to resolve this matter.

      Our phone system was damaged during the recent storms and we are currently in the process of upgrading it from analog to digital.

      Please note that the office is open 5 days a week, 8:30am-5:00pm for visits.
