Purchased a 40v mower kit that came with a mower 40v 6ah battery, and fast charger. After a year of use the batter stopped working it did charge. However when hitting the button I got 2 led lights blinking. Based off forums it's a battery fault. The battery is no longer working. And it's within the 3 year warrantyBusiness Response

Hello I am seeking your help. A ***** battery operated lawnmower was purchased as a gift for me last May 2022. I use the three times before I started having problems! I thought it was a brand new battery so I purchase another one. These are my complaints: #1. there is no Customer support available. I was told by Home Depot but they service these machines, but discontinued any service after five months!#2. The battery does not last, the machine shuts off constantly after perhaps two minutes I’m trying to mow the lawn.#3. The 800 number I’ve called a number of times and no return call in the last six weeks! I emailed them almost 3 weeks ago and finally got a response – we shifted the responsibility to a service center-being only one within a 15 mile radius and in my same state! I was told by the service station, they have 120 of the exact same lawnmowers presently in for repairs ,and it will take at least four weeks. Very disappointed in the company ,as I have other ***** products which are well-made. ***** is not taking responsibility for their products ,Couldn’t care less about their customers,and I am demanding a full refund for the lawnmower and the XAnd the extra expense of a new battery – neither of which work!Business Response

On may 26th a 40v lithium ***** battery started a fire in my home. The battery went with our electric weed eater that was a gift from my fiancés grandmother. It was not on the charger or anywhere near it. It was setting on top of our ****** Socket set, which was ruined by the fire as well. My fiancé called the company and got no resolution or apology. I tried emailing and calling multiple times. I waited o hold for over 40 minutes without ever speaking to a human. I once requested a call back to avoid waiting and never received that call. I messaged/commented on all of their social media accounts requesting a response and still have never received anything.Business Response

I purchased a Ryobi garage door opener (******) about 3.5 years ago and now the motor has failed. The motor comes with a limited lifetime warranty that expressly states the motor will be repaired or replaced. However, they will only offer a refund for the garage door opener. Normally, this would be sufficient, but I have 4 add-on attachments that are worth about $225 that are now useless. If they can’t repair or replace my opener like their warranty states, they need to refund the attachments as well.Business Response

I purchased a ***** walk behind, self propelled lawnmower from **** ***** on 4/30/2022. By October 2022, the motor had completely stopped working. Given we live in New England, and it was autumn, I put the mower away to deal with in the spring. I reached out to ***** on 3/11/23 to let them know that the mower was not working. They responded with a list of 2 service centers in my area that could diagnose the issue and repair the mower. I dropped my mower, charger, and two batteries off to their recommended service center on 3/25/23 and was told it would be two weeks. I've since reached out to the service center multiple times after that date, with no response. They finally called me back at the end of April to say that parts had been ordered on 4/17/23 and that ***** told them they could only order 1 potential part at a time. I have called them multiple times since, for an update. I have not received any response from the service provider since April. They have now had my mower for over 10 weeks. I have had to rent mowers from **** ***** to keep up with my lawncare. I emailed ***** again on 5/28/23 and 6/2/23 with my frustration and have had no response from them. This is an unacceptable situation. They do not back their warranty and do not provide appropriate customer service support. If they can't provide timely repair service, they should be replacing it or refunding on their faulty equipment.Business Response

I received an email on 6/13/23 from ***** that they will send me a replacement lawnmower and batteries. I am still waiting for a tracking number and ETA on that replacement. My full satisfaction regarding the resolution will be dependent upon how long it takes to receive the replacement, given that it's already been 3 months without a working lawnmower. I do appreciate the rapid response by BBB and ***** to my complaint.

Purchased a ***** 40V HP Brushless 21" cordless walk behind self propelled lawn mower in February 2022. In less than a year the self propel stopped working. Took to ***** certified service center on March 11 2023. We are now approaching 90 days and still now mower and cannot provide me with a date. I purchased a brushless stick vacuum from ***** a few months ago and now the vacuum is not working properly. I called into make a warranty claim and the rep said they longer sell that model of vacuum and is sending another model. The model that they are providing as a replacement is a brushed version of the vacuum and the worst/cheapest model they sell. I would expect that if I am getting a warranty replacement for a more expensive brushless model, that it would also be replaced with a brushless model.Business Response

On June 30, 2021, I purchased a ***** line trimmer at **** *****. The line trimmer is registered with *****. It is a ***** *** ONE+™ LITHIUM+™ STRING TRIMMER/EDGER WITH 4AH BATTERY & CHARGER. Last summer, I noticed the line trimmer motor was cutting out and had it serviced at **** ***** (as directed by *****). **** ***** sent the line trimmer to ***** and ***** didn't find any issues with the trimmer. Last week, I noticed the issue is happening again with the line trimmer. The battery works with a ***** hedge trimmer I have. In September 2022, ***** sent me a new battery, but it did not resolve the issue. Over the past couple of weeks, I've contacted ***** and they told me I had to either ship it or drop it off at service centers in *********, MD, *******, Va, or **********, MD. Those service centers are over an hour drive from my house! That's just not reasonable nor practical. Also, the cost of shipping the line trimmer is quite expensive and time consuming (even if shipping is reimbursed through the warranty). There has to be a better solution.Business Response

What kinds of products are you selling consumers. Selling cheap material, garbage products by making them look sexy, cool and easy to use to then find out you bought an overpriced toy? Yes, I'm am the FOOL who purchased a 1st generation ***** riding lawnmower (Model ******) when it first came out a few years back. Since day ONE I've had problems with this overpriced TOY. Living on a fixed income, on Social Security Disability, I was hoping this lawnmower would be a good investment having cost me thousands of dollars. Instead, NON-STOP ISSUES. As I type you today, two tires need to be inflated each time I have to use the unit as it leaks pressure. The handle that raises the blades does not engage properly and does not lift the blade compartment off ground. If that wasn't enough, we went to replace the blades underneath the mower and noticed that the materials (washers) holding the blades to the actual lawnmower underneath are made of PLASTIC? Are you serious? All destroyed, melted away and you wonder how or why? You think it's smart to have cheap plastic materials to fasten sharp blades spinning at a mile a minute? Now, my blades don't spin at all as the plastic fastener/washer unit is worn out and can't keep the blades from having a grip to the mower's spinning unit to make the blades spin properly underneath. I live near *******, NY with little time in the year to use this riding lawnmower. We literally have 3 months to cut our grass. As this is a fiasco I have to deal with little usage time each year, I feel sorry for those poor consumers who have to depend on this ***** product to work properly year round. I would like a resolution before elevating this to the Consumer Protection Agency to protect future consumers from the issues I’m dealing with that came at a cost of a huge financial investment.Business Response

You sell JUNK to consumers and then wash your hands and don’t even communicate with them and say “hey, you are on your own” via the BBB. What a disturbing generation of unprofessionalism we’re dealing with. No one cares anymore. Just overcharge and overprice everything and when consumers expect bang for the immense buck he spent for the junk the answer only can be heard via BBB as no one cares about service after the sale.
