I rented a house from them. I paid $3200 deposit plus the entire year's rent in July 2022. I had plumbing issues constantly. The landlord yelled at me that I was using too much toilet paper. I paid a plumber who couldn't fix the problem because it was not "in the house". When I tried to contact the landlord, he ignored my texts and calls. I was going to the **** (I had a membership) to shower and I used a restroom at a fastfood restaurant. When he finally responded, he said he thought I had a working bathroom. I didn't. When I was about to move out (2 months early), I asked if he had a person who could clean the house after I moved out. He said yes and told me he would contact me with an estimate. He did not. I received $1045. He said the house was so dirty that it required extra work, including carpet cleaning. His "fixers" (not plumbers) had tracked mud from the back door into the master bath while working on the plumbing. I was never given a receipt of the work he said was required. I had changed the kitchen hardware at my expense and notified him of this. He charged me for replacing with random items. He charged me $15 for a blind. One slat was broken and there were several at the bottom so it could have been removed and not affected. I took pictures while I was looking at the property prior to move-in because he kept mentioning the clean beige carpeting. There were stains everywhere and more appeared over time. This was caused by "deep staining" and is not uncommon, but also not my fault. I was charged $136 to repair holes in walls. I never even hung a picture. I was sick constantly and even hospitalized for 4 days. When moving out, I discovered black mold in a room used for storage. He charged me for electricity, water, mowing, and insurance for time he had possession. I want the balance of my deposit, minus the cleaning ($400) plus the hardware ($56) & missing switch ($6) I replaced, and $75 I paid a plumber which would be $1892.
