    My car wouldn’t start. It was like it was a battery issue. Then I took it to autozone had them test my battery, alternator, and starter. I was told my alternator was bad. Bought a new one then was told that one was bad. Got a third one only to find out my battery was bad the whole time. My brother is a mechanic and one guy was rude about it. Called me a racial slur when I told me husband it was the black guy who was there a couple days before and switched the alternator out. They told me my mechanics were liars bc quote “DO THEY WORK FOR AUTOZONE?” My car had to be tore apart 4 times and the guy proceeded with well that’s what u get with cars. This is the second car they sold me parts I didn’t need for. The first one blew up my motor. The district manager said well whoever put the spark plugs in should’ve made sure they were the same. He did they looked the same. It’s up to the parts store to give us the part we need and ask for and the RIGHT PART

    District Manager Maricus *** spoke with ****** who was indeed upset about her visit where the battery and alternator were tested. The test results showed her battery being good and alternator being bad. DM L** explained our equipment is very accurate, but we don't 100% guarantee the results of a tester. DM L** informed her that the tests are based off the part at that moment and explained how he has seen bad parts test good and vice versa.

    DM L** asked why her licensed mechanic brother did not conduct a thorough check off the components of the charging system before installing the alternator. ****** stated that all he did was unhook the positive post and did not inspect the battery until after installing the alternator.

    The SM informed DM L** that ****** apologized for the way she acted to the entire store Team when she returned the alternator. DM L** advised that everyone does not handle irate customers to the same level, and I will talk to the PSM who was involved with this matter and conduct a coaching session. DM L** informed ****** that we are here to help and how you treat us plays a part on our willingness to assist.

    ****** was refunded the full amount for the alternator and given a discount on the purchase of a battery.
