    I found Franklin Lee G********* on ************* in March 2023. I asked to have two new doors (front and back outside) installed. He sent me the invoice which had a quote of $1,521.00. I paid the 45% deposit of $684.45 on 10/13/2023. When he started the front door, he said there was damage, so he asked for another $346.50 to be added onto the balance. He then asked for half of the remaining balance of $592.00.

    He started my back door on the Friday before Christmas. He said there was seal damage and added another $500. He left at 11pm that night without finishing the door. When he left, he had opened the floor inside the back door, detached the dryer, and had the old door hanging on by a few screws with gaps everywhere. I had to stuff towels in the gaps because I did not want rodents coming in because it was 29 degrees that night.

    He did not return until late on 12/29/23. He asked me for the last payment because he said they were almost finished. I said I’m not paying anything else until everything was finished. He finally finished the door the night of 12/29/23. I then paid him $1,014.27. However, he installed the door swinging in instead of out like the original door. He shaved off some of the shelf near the door and reconfigured my dryer vent system to try to make that big door fit. He told me he had done a dryer vent tubing installation before, and it was safe. When I went to use the dryer later, there was a strange smell. I called Vent Wizard to come look at the dryer. The man from Vent Wizard said that the dryer vent was not supposed to be configured that way under the house and that it was a fire hazard. Also, the dryer vent Lee had previously did was not done correctly. I had to get the dryer vent and tubing redone on 1/8/2024 for $471.00. I still cannot open my back door because it is the wrong size - my dryer blocks it from opening. I only have one entry and exit into my house. He damaged my home and made it unsafe!

    So I hired him to do a fence and a concrete pad!

    Let's start with the fence. The sub-contractor that he had doing the fence was a good guy. My problem was they wanted to work until 11 pm at night. I contacted the Contractor himself right before they finished the fence and told him some boards needed to be replaced and fixed. he told me that he would get it done (still not complete 9-16-2023). he charged me for a new fence while providing me with old old door frame (see pictures).

    Now the concrete pad. As you can see from the pictures. horrible JOB. I am still waiting for him to finish this crap. First of all yes, I stated the job was complete (mind you, it was completely dark outside). The next day, I told him that I was not satisfied and that the concrete was not done correctly. it has bumps and rocks on the top surface.

    He then went on to tell me that he needed to order a special material to make the finish smooth (Aug 2). He did not return to correct the job until August 9. When he came it was late in the evening and he used standard top leveling concert ( mind you this is what he originally told me he was using and he used regular concrete).

    The next day I sent him 2 pictures with puddles of water (Aug 10) and he said he would get back out to fix it. On Aug 24, I texted him again for an update as to when he was coming, he stated tomorrow or Saturday (Aug 25 or 26).

    As of September 16, I still have not seen or heard from him. I texted him on the 16th and he read the message with no response.

    So on the 18th, I started doing research only to find out that I am not the only person with this problem. According to Google, yelp, and the BBB, this is an ongoing issue. Looking over a BBB complaint that was filed, a lot of lies are told and I have the text messages to prove it.

    He also leaves his workers on site for hours and hours.

    STAY AWAY. I have contacted the Secretary of State and if you have issues you should too.

    I will be pursuing a full refund.

    Please find attached the contracts between L&K Imports and me.uld be completed in time, which hasn't happened. On 7/27/23 he asked me to pay him the final payment of $1200.00, ($200.00 was a partial payment towards him installing a 10ft section of gutters on the sunporch) because he needed to buy concrete to lay a pad at someone else's home the next day & needed the money. I hesitated because he had only completed the roof replacement at this time, but he promised it would all be finished on the 28th, which didn't happen. His workers, with the exception of James Brassel are incompetent, and James has spent all of his time correcting the shotty work of others, including Lee's work. I have told Lee that I found someone else to install the gutters at no charge to me because they feel sorry for what I've gone through and that Lee's price of $800.00 was outrageous to install gutters. When I told Lee of my decision, he offered to install the gutters for free & I accepted. I never know when they're coming to work, no calls or texts. Job isn't done yet!
