Aug. 24, 2022 I brought my ****** to Victor for an engine replacement. Oct. 6, 2022 first engine arrived and I paid $550 cash for it that afternoon. In May 2023 (exact date unknown) the first engine was installed and was determined to be bad by Victor. "Second engine" was installed June 13th, 2023. July 10th, 2023 I was told "I don't think he has paper work providing the details" in relation to engine miles, condition, warranty etc. July 18th, 2023 I see and hear car run for first time and I mention "New motor sounds like it has a tick" Nothing was done. July 28th, 2023 I picked up the car at the request of Victor (or i'll have to start paying storage fee after he's kept it there for 11 months) and paid him $880.50 for it. I again mentioned the tick and he told me to put ******** ******* oil in it and it'll go away. His mechanic drove the car to where it currently sits now and it was running very poorly. Yesterday 9/25/23 I met with someone to sell the car to them and after jumping it off it's obvious the engine is bad. It has not even been started since it was parked and I trusted Victor that the engine was only ticking and not knocking but when I brought it up to Vic he insisted that this was my fault and that he isn't willing to do anything to remedy the situation. I paid him for an engine replacement with a good running engine and he gave me one that was for sure ticking and possibly knocking but now is certainly knocking and isn't willing to help at all. I've had issues in the past with window regulator being replaced and missing screws and breaking again after repairs, exhaust leak "fixed" but began leaking again a few days later. I've sent friends to Vic for service and they've also had poor experiences.

Customer brought the vehicle for an engine swap.  We found a used one with a 30 day warranty and he  purchased it.  We installed it and the engine was bad.  It is a 99 ****** *****.  Engine was returned to company after the company found us a replacement which took several months.   We again installed the new engine at 0 labor costs and engine ran fine.  Contacted the customer and told him it was ready and his final bill was $800.00.  Customer waited 2 months before sending his girlfriend and her mother up to wash the car and get it ready to sell so he could pay me.  I did not charge him my standard storage rate of $35.00 per day when a vehicle is left for 7 days of being completed.  They cleaned the car and left it at my shop again and did not see them again for another 2 months.  He came with someone to buy the vehicle which had basically sat for 4 months without being cranked.  He let it run for 45 minutes while they talked.  I suggested he install ****** ******* *** and drive it for several days since it had been sitting for months.  He installed the oil and parked it again for over 2 months without driving it.  He showed up to pay his bill after several months and to take the car.  My mechanic drove the car and parked it for another 2 months.  I repeatedly told him to drive the car and not to let it sit due to the age of the vehicle and that without use,  other parts would deteriorate.  During the time that he came to the business, he never had a complaint about the vehicle.  He only drove the car a short distance on one of his final visits.  The car sat for over a year at my shop without anyone driving it other than a very short distance.  It is my position that the engine was fine when it was installed and that he was negligent in not picking up the vehicle in a timely manner so that we could address any warranty issues.  He exceeded the warranty period by more than 8  months.  The car was uninsured while it was at my shop so we were unable to drive it on a regular basis so it just sat.    His complaint is unfounded due to his negligence.
