Jeffrey L**** Graham claimed to be a licensed contractor who could put a full bathroom in my 1st floor/basement area in 5 - 6 wks for ~25K;& 8 wks later, he left w/o completing the project after trying to leave us w/an incomplete mess a few days earlier (sneaking all his tools out & telling us he was going to give us a break from him for 4 - 5 days). SC LLR says he's unlicensed. He misrepresented his plumbing, electrical & carpentry skills, went through a handful of assistants (one claiming he didn't pay him out of the $ we'd paid him), he burned up an exhaust fan, b/c he didn't wire it correctly, & he broke a door from its frame. He then left yelling at us, saying we better not hire another contractor who he didn't like to finish the job or do any other work in our home. He took his tools & various materials we had paid for (w/the 22K we'd already given him). We then called the police to get him to leave rather than continuing to make a scene in my driveway. It took him 3&1/2 wks to tile a small shower area. We felt trapped in our home for wks wanting the project to be over! My husband is on crutches,& I have Lupus, which at times has hampered my ability to walk,& all we wanted was a handicapped accessible bathroom w/shower on the 1st floor. If you do business w/this man, know that he isn't licensed, can't do plumbing, carpentry, or electrical wiring. He can tile, but slower than most. We are starting from scratch again trying to get this project done. A licensed professional noted multiple code violations. I did file a report w/the police. We spent another ~5K+ on fixtures, tile, etc. This has been a very costly project to then end up w/o what we'd paid for & were promised. His behavior was unprofessional& scary/threatening. I've never had a contractor behave this way. I assume he had another job to start & didn't care if he finished this ours. And, as he left he screamed at me that he shouldn't have come back to finish the job after trying to walk out days prior.
