Called and text me saying they were going to pick up my vehicle for the agreed upon fee of $800. The next day he called back and said they were on the way to pick it up but the fee is $1500. I told him to forget it and that he is a scammer. He said it's because other transport companies were calling me so it raised the price. Do not use these guys. They will raise the price the day of pick up. Read the other complaints seems Ike they do this to everyone.Business Response

We do apologize for the inconvenience you had with us regarding the price increase. But it does not mean we are scammers, if it was so, you could not find us on Better Business Bureau. We just want to make you know that the price is not dependent only on us.
Let's clarify what happened there at that time!
When you called us requesting a quote, we offered an $800 quote according to the distance between pickup and delivery addresses. Everything was going smoothly on our part. Then a day before the pick-up date, our Carriers called us asking for a higher price. They stated that your vehicle (2003 Dodge Ram) was posted by more than 5 companies for different prices and our post was the lowest one among them. Here you were working with so many brokerage companies at the same time, while it does not matter what company you work with, anyway your vehicle is to be posted on the same load board (The load board is where brokerage companies and Carriers meet and make deals). All those brokerage companies, you requested quotes from, were competing with each other offering more and more to get the job done and get Carriers for your 2003 Dodge Ram.
We were asked by Carriers $1500 then, because other companies you were working with, were offering higher than ours. Even though we tried to minimize the price, logically drivers would like to go to well-paid jobs. We did not increase the price, we just offered as a middleman what was asked by the driver. You did not pay us anything.
For the next shipments, we advise you to work only with one company, otherwise, you will be competing with yourselves, Mr. *****. This is the same market with the same Carrier network. And only one company is enough to coordinate your auto shipping process and secure the spot on Carrier Companies trailers.
Auto Freight Carriers LLC would like you to understand that the price increase is not our mistake. For keeping the price locked, both customer (You) and Service Provider (we) are responsible at the same time. This is how it works. Again, we are so sorry for this issue. Contracted Auto Freight Carriers LLC to ship our 2015 Toyota Highlander from Washington State to Maryland. Paid $250 up front with remaining $1150 to be paid on delivery (cash). Vehicle was picked up 28th October for delivery on 4th November (estimated). November 4th approached with no contact from carrier.
Carrier emailed us on 6th November with new delivery schedule for 9th or 10th November. Delivery was missed again with no communications from carrier or Auto Freight Carriers LLC. Carrier was unresponsive to our messages and phone calls, and provided no updates on delivery.
We then called main customer service line for Auto Freight Carriers LLC on November 11th. Spoke to Tiffany who said she would contact the driver to get an updated delivery time and then call us back. No call back.
Next day we called again. Spoke to Tiffany again who said she'd call the driver and get back to us in 10 mins. No call back. Called Tiffany again and asked to speak to her manager (she said his name was Jeff). She did not let us speak to Jeff. She said she'd call the driver again, coming back with a new estimated delivery date of 18th Nov--two weeks behind initial estimate. We are not confident that the car will be delivered by this date given previous promises broken. Currently we have no idea if our car is in transit, still in Washington, or even lost/stolen. Auto Freight Carriers LLC has shown no willingness to resolve the lateness of delivery or the awful communication from their carrier.

Ever since we filed the complaint on BBB, we have heard from the driver and Auto Freight Carriers LLC. The driver keeps telling me one thing and the middle man keeps telling me another. Their stories always contradicted each other. Jason, the driver said he was going to delivered my car by Tuesday but no car was delivered. That same day Jason, the middle man, texted me saying the truck is will be fixed by 6pm on Wednesday and the driver will get in contact with me. Didn't hear back from the driver at all. Had to contact Jason from Auto Freight Carriers again and he said the driver said he just picked up the car. This was today, Thursday, and that my car will be delivered by today. Hagerstown is not that far from me. Takes less than 2 hours. I have not heard from the driver so I called him. I asked if my car was being delivered today and he in turn asked if I was located in Wordorf, I am not! He said he doesn't know if my car is being delivered today because they had passed it on to a local guy to deal with it. Auto Freight Carriers LLC clearly indicated in their response that my car will be the first car they will deliver when the truck is fixed. Contradicting to everything they have said via texts, calls and response on here, it is not true. I cannot trust anything they have to say at this point. 20 days and no car in sight!Business Response

We do know the value of time and concerns regarding your vehicle. It was not even pleasant for all of us because of the mechanic issue that hapenned during shipping of your 2015 Toyota highlander-kluger. We booked the spot on a trailer with ****** **** *******. We service provider between you (customer) and Carrier Company (****** **** *******) and made both of you be in contact with each other that's all we have to do. We did all responsibilities on our part at that time as service provider.
The distance between pick up and drop off addresses is almost 3000 miles, that's long-distance takes 7-8 days itself, from one part of the country to another one. On top of that, ****** **** ******* after picking up your 2015 toyota highlander-kluger contacted us stating they had mechanic issue with their truck, broke down. That's why the delivery was delayed for several days. Deliverying your vehicle was on our top concerns from the time this issue happended, we tried to keep a close contact with these guys asking updates, confriming if everything was fine with vehicle and what we could do to get it done as soon as possible.
Your vehicle has been aleready delivered. Please check the attached document (BOL) proving delivery. We are so sorry for the inconvenience and concerns that made you worry about this process, we do want to apologize for this. Auto Freight Carriers LLC knowingly lied to me regarding a quote to ship my vehicle. First with the total amount due ($700) and then with the deposit that was also due ($100) after I signed an actual contract with them they stated that the deposit was actually $150 not $100 and the amount due would actually be $1100. After paying the deposit of $156.00 because they also added a fee they still haven't found a driver and they are basically holding my money hostage. I have requested to cancel everything and to receive a refund but they are simply refusing. I just want my money back. That's all.Business Response

First of all, We do apologize that our agent made you get confused about how much to pay as a deposit. He should not have done so.
Price increase - Our agent must have given the price according to the distance, and miles between pick-up and delivery addresses, this is how all brokerage companies offer the price. Unfortunately, we had a lack of drivers at your pick-up area - there were too many loads and only a few drivers - which affected the price in the end. Since market trends play a huge role in pricing. We did all we could to keep the price locked but Carriers were asking for more.
Refund - Auto Freihgt Carriers LLC never refuses to refund the deposit if we could not get the job done and/or a customer asks to cancel the deal. We have already refund a deposit ($156). We have sent the receipt of refund to your email

I received a quote for $280
I signed an agreement for $280. The day before the scheduled service they tell me it will be $450.
I requested to honor the amount agreed upon and they said no and are charging $200 cancelation fee.

I signed an agreement to have a vehicle transported from McColl, SC to Irmo, SC for $150. One day after I signed the agreement their agent contacted me and said I will need to pay an additional $350 for the service. It's apparent you intentionally bid on the transport low so I would accept it. Then we did the bait and switch increasing the price to the market rate which you must know if that is your business. Your representative claimed fuel prices, and driver shortage as the reason for the price increase. This is nothing new, and should have been disclosed in a fair rate quote in the beginning.

I was overcharge more than what I has signed my contract for! They guaranteed my car would picked up Wednesday and delivery would be Sunday.. it was picked up Thursday witch is okay 1 day late but NOW no one can tell me when my car is expected to arrive.. Let us provide how the situation happened there with this customer's order:
1) Customer contacted us to find a Carrier Company for her 2020 Chrysler Pacifica shipment
2) We confirmed the Carrier Company (Extant Transport Services Inc) at her pick-up area (Willards , MD XXXXX)
3) We made Extant Transport Services Inc know about what time-window ******* ***** wanted a driver to come for pick-up and delivery
4) We shared the Driver's contact details of Extant Transport Services Inc and made both parties be in touch with each other
Here we did all responsibilities on our part and kept the customer updated over the all process. Then the Customer contacted us saying there had been a delivery delay of her 2020 Chrysler Pacifica and no response from the driver about when he was going to deliver it and where her vehicle was. We did not leave our Customer in the dark, even it was not our mistake or fault. As Auto Freight Carriers LLC is a service provider between a Customer (******* *****) and a Carrier Company (Extant Transport Services Inc). We are not responsible for delays made by the Carrier Company or issues that arise after we reassigned the load to the Carrier Company. Anyway, we called Extant Transport Services Inc and sent several reminder letters and notifications via call and text message asking them to call the customer and deliver the vehicle as soon as possible.
The dispatcher and driver of Extant Transport Services Inc provided us with the reason for the delay. They told they had an issue with another vehicle loaded on the same trailer. As it was a multi-vehicle trailer for 8 units. The driver made a clear schedule and made a route to deliver all cars one by one. However, the driver was on the delivery spot delivering one of these 8 vehicles, and the owner of this vehicle was not on the delivery spot which led the driver to wait for days and lose time. Finally, it affected to deliver our customer ******* *****'s 2020 Chrysler Pacifica. There is not any fault or mistake on our end in this issue.
Regarding the payment and customer stated she was overcharged:
Auto Freight Carriers LLC never overcharges customers. We book the spot on Carrier Companies' trailers once we have signed a contract by the customers. We went ahead since the customer agreed and signed for it. Everything was according to the contract ******* ***** signed. We never permit something to be out of the contract. She paid what he signed for.
We contacted the customer explaining all. Her vehicle was delivered and she is satisfied, all done. She confirmed she would remove it after she got her vehicle. Auto Freight Carriers LLC would like to run a long-term business based on customer satisfaction and trust. We are trying to build customer-oriented service and we do apologize in case customers have any inconvenience with us. We **** do all we can to solve issues on the customer's favor at all. we paid $300 plus $12 tax on a truck delivery service. 1. you cannot charge tax on a non taxable item.. you can raise your price to include credit card fee! 2. the trucker did not arrive on the day suppose to 3. the broker auto freight carrier/ thomas m***** contracted another company/ truck driver and when his english was not clear we asked a few questions, he got mad and said " cancel contract!" now my daughter car wont get to other state on time to meet her airplane flight and give her transportation. 4. in addition trying to get our money back he keeps saying give him another try .. we have already used another company and car is at its destination! the native language is a key componant to communication. if there are words slightly off, the item, product. service will be off! no we are spending our time begging for refund. in addition the effort to find another broker to take care of the transport is very time consuming.Business Response

We signed a contract to have our car shipped from Hayward, CA to Atlanta, GA for a total of $1000. We paid $208 as a deposit with the remaining amount to be paid upon delivery. This is what we agreed to and signed for in their e-contract. The car was supposed to be picked up on Aug 3. The day before and day of pickup we received several calls from the delivery company claiming that the "driver" wanted more money to do this route. They called multiple time asking up $795 more than what we signed a contract for. They were aggressive and claimed no one would ship it for less, etc. but finally agreed to refund the deposit within 6 business days; it's now been 10 business days and they have yet to refund the deposit.Business Response

We have not overcharged you. We have refunded $150 which was the booking fee paid to Auto Freight Carriers LLC. We are service providers, between customer and carrier company. You paid only $150 to our company and we refunded that even though we had a contract you signed. We never overcharge customers. Everything was mentioned on contract, you signed at that time. You can see the contract you signed. After getting your vehicle delivered, you left a negative rating on BBB and a complaint which is unfair. We do focus on customers' interest and customer service.
