This facility that I entered into after paying $4000.00 upfront was filthy. Men and women were in the same small dirty home. The handling of the donated food was unsanitary.. it was only 4 AA meetings per day no structure at all. Did not get my medications prescribed by my doctor only got sleeping meds they had. This place needs severe help and to be shut down. I only survived there 3 days never received any funds back which I’ll have to now hire an attorney. It was a horrible experience.

**** ****** and her husband were made aware several different times before entry that she has to be willing to get help if she wants to enter an inpatient rehab program.  They both agreed to our non-refundable policy.  Charleston Recovery Center charges $8000 for 90 days of treatment.  We break it into payments ($4000 on date of entry, $2000 at the start of the 2nd month and $2000 at the start of the 3rd month).  Attached is the signed waiver both **** and her husband signed at time of entry agreeing to the statement, "I understand all payments are non-refundable".  We break the $8000 into payments and do not attempt to collect funds when a resident leaves.  It was made explicitly clear to them that payments are non-refundable.

During her time here, everyone was very accommodating to ****.  The women and staff made every attempt to make sure she was comfortable and well cared for.  I came through this program too.  It’s a wonderful environment.  Everyone here has recovered from alcoholism and addiction and we go to any length to care for one another.  The environment is clean, the program works for anyone willing to put in the work, and the needs of each resident are accommodated with care.

Bottom line is, **** was not willing/ready to get sober and refused the help being offered.
