    I have used this company since at least 2017 to maintain my residential elevator. Last year they told me I needed to replace the mechanical parts of our 13 yr old elevator. I paid them a deposit of $11,821 in April. In August I called their office several times to find out the status of the parts that were ordered. The owner finally spoke with me and was adamant that I had no reason to check on my deposit. On 9/3/2024 the new system was finally installed. It was noisy but the technician said that was just the way the new system was going to sound. On 11/22/24 they came out to install lights which the owner claimed were not part of the contract. However, there is a line item in the invoice that says '1 Light Transformer, LEV' and '(2) lamps LEV.' I was charged another $150. Soon, the elevator began to intermittently stop and the lights went out. ESC came out again on 1/9/25 and replaced the lights because the wiring had melted. The tech claimed the lights shorted out because of a power surge that only affected the 110V lights. I was charged yet another $155. At this point I hired a second elevator company to inspect the unit. That company came out and found that the unit needs a "110 V disconnect," they replaced the Hallogen lights with cooler LED lights and found that the cable bracket was slack. In addition he found the wires were loose in the door lock. The last two items evidently caused the elevator to quit working iintermittently. For safety reasons alone, ESC should not be used. Additionally, the unit now operates quietly.
