    On May 5, 2025, I enrolled in a 14-day free trial with Effective Fitness Training (EFT) through the TrainHeroic platform. The EFT website states that the 14-day free trial provides complete access to the program, including daily workouts, exercise demonstration videos, nutrition guidelines, supplement guide, and more. On EFT website under "pricing" for the programs, states the following: "$0 for the first 14 days, then $19.95 billed every 4 weeks" Under the FAQ Section on the EFT website "How long is my trial period", states the following: "You will get 2 weeks FREE. You will not be charged if you cancel your membership before the 2 weeks concludes." Under the same FAQ section "Will I be charged if I cancel before the 2 weeks trial ends?" states the following: "NO! You have nothing to lose by downloading the app and checking it out!" On May 19, 2025, the final day of the trial, I submitted a request to cancel my subscription. I received confirmation on the same day from an Effective Fitness representative that my subscription had been successfully cancelled and that I would not be charged. Despite this written confirmation, I was charged $49.05 CAD on the same day (May 19, 2025). I immediately contacted the business and requested a refund. They acknowledged that the charge was processed but stated that they are unable to issue a refund because the payment had already been taken out. This is both misleading and unacceptable. I cancelled on time and received confirmation of cancellation. The charge should not have occurred, and it is unreasonable to claim a refund is not possible simply because the charge was processed after their own confirmation of cancellation. Desired Resolution: I am requesting a full refund of $49.05 CAD and written confirmation that my account is fully cancelled and will not incur any future charges.

    We have investigated this complaint and have issued a full Refund to the customer.  We identified that an automation did not trigger as intended and did not complete the original cancellation request.  We have notified the customer of the refund.  We have not yet received a response.  Please let us know if further assistance is required. We appreciate the support.
