On 3/1/24 I paid $945.00 for downpayment of gutter installation for my home as well as removal of raindiverter from back part of roof. The owner, Chris B****** agreed to remove raindiverter when we spoke over the phone. I explained in detail how the raindiverter had to be cleaned every month or more and installing the gutters would replace the need for a raindiverter and he agreed that he would remove it. I explained that I am over 50 years old and it is not safe for me to continue to climb on the roof to clean the raindiverter. The gutters were subsequently installed but the workers were unable to remove the raindiverter. I was billed the remaining $945.00 on 3/29/24. I reached out to Chris thru email on 4/1/24 and asked Chris B****** if he was "going to contact your roofer and see about diverter removal or discount instillation?" as we had discussed over the phone. I never recieved a reply from Chris after many phone calls to speak with him, although I did continue to be billed. I finally contacted New Beginnings Construction to remove the raindiverter which they did for $1265.27 on 9/3/24. I received a final notice on October 10, 24 with a $50 discount given. I immediately emailed Chris and expressed my dissatisfaction with the discount amount and his failure to provide his own roofer to remove the rain diverter. I am asking that I will not owe the company the remaining balance as I had to pay another company over $1200 to finish the job.

On August 16th, I had the company, "The Brothers that just do gutters" come to my house to give me an estimate to clean my gutters. Upon pulling into my driveway (Chris B******, ************) veered off my driveway with his truck, damaging my concrete apron ($1500.00 estimate). We both took pictures of the damage, and he told me to get an estimate. I stayed in contact with Chris through both email (*******************@gmail.com) and text's regarding what he was going to do about replacing my concrete (with no answer to my problem). I also contacted his employer at ************ and spoke with "Samatha" about the incident, who gave me the companies email address (***********@brothersgutters.com. To date I still haven't heard anything from the company regarding my complaint. I have since contacted **** (where I got the referral from) and started a claim against the company which is located in Charleston, SC. An Account Specialist from ****, named ******* ***** at ************ was assigned to my case and I have discussed the situation with her, including all texts, emails and pictures that I forwarded to her.

Good afternoon.  This complaint is for a location that is located in Charleston SC and is not managed by our location which is Located in Charlotte North Carolina.  The client is not specific to this location.  All franchises are individually owned and operated.  For Instance, what happens on a Chick Fill A franchise in one location is that owners responsibility.  This complaint should be directed to the correct location which Is Charleston SC and their ownership group.  There are over 100 franchises Nationwide and they are all individually owned.  That location should be able to handle this issue.

This is not a reflection of our location and therefore we cannot do anything about the situation.

I refute this complaint from the customer as it is not a reasonable claim. They are claiming that I damaged their driveway when I pulled in, I attached a picture to show what is in the driveway. The only scrape that could have been from me is the small black one. For arguments sake even if the other small ones were from me, none of this is anywhere close to $1500 worth of damage, let alone significant enough to even need any type of repair. We are a very reasonable company with close to 100 5 star reviews and a 4.9 rating on ******. We take care of our customers, and we are always accepting responsibility for any mistake we make and do right by our customers when it is in reason, but this situation and what I have been presented with a ($1500 quote for extremely minor cosmetic damage that really is unreasonable to repair) is not something we can accept. If something reasonable had been presented to us, the conversation with Mr. ****** could have been different.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: I agree with the business that $1500.00 is quite a bit of money for the repair. However, all the concrete companies I called said they could not repair just the crack and the surface of the concrete as repairing just the surface with mortar would not last long. They recommended replacing the entire wedge of concrete so it lasts longer, and because of being such a small amount, they have a minimum fee to pay for the amount of yards that the truck will deliver, hence the high cost. If the business wants to get additional quotes that we both can mutually agree on (when I can be available to be there when they come), I'm ok with that. I would like to just get my driveway back in the same shape as it was before the accident.

    Sincerely,

    ****** ******
