A representitive of New Beginning Construction ******* came to my home inquiring about if I needed any roof repairs and to tell me about this company. I explained to Blake that I was having some water leakage that would leak in my front foyer when it rained really hard, however I did not get if fixed because I thought the time had expired. He assured me that it did not and I was told that he would take care of everything. We talked about my $1,000 deductible and he told me that I would be able to finance the $1000 and make monthly payments. New Beginning proceeded to help me file a claim with my insurance company and fix my roof and the leakage problem that I had. After the roof was completed and the $1000 deductible was due I was then told that I could NOT finance the $1000 as I was previously told by Blake from his mouth and through text messages. I was told that the starting finance amount was $2500 but I only owed a thousand. After several attempts to collect the full amount I told them I could only make monthly payments. As of 10/4/22 I have paid $225 of deductible as well as my insurance company paying over $16,000.00 to this company. On 9/30/22 as Hurricane Ian hit summerville, SC I was made aware that the problem that this roofing company said and got paid to fix was NOT fixed. It was still leaking in the exact same area. I sent Mr. Blake a text message expressing how upset I was and he told me because I have not paid my deductible in full I have not warranty. When it clearly states on the paper that I signed that if I did not pay in full legal actions would be taken, not that I would not have a warranty on a $17,000.00 roof. Mr Blake proceeded to say that instead of taking me to court his company just decided that I would have no warranty instead. I explained to Mr. Blake that, that is not what I signed, because I still had a balance he had no remorse or willing to fix even though my new male friend said he would pay the remainder of the balance.

Our company has always gone above and beyond to meet the needs of our customers, and will continue to do so.

Generally speaking, the facts that Ms. **** cites in her complaint are in fact true. What she has failed to disclose is that we have attempted to collect the $1,000 that we are owed for this roofing job for nearly 18 months. We drafted a Note and provided her with weekly payments in the amount of $125.00 to complete her contractual obligations. Ms. **** refused to sign the Note and when our office told her that if we did not receive a payment that we would turn this over to a litigation team and seek a judgment against her. She responded on 2/15/22 below...

"I'm not sure who u may think your talking to, but i suggest you find out all the facts before you send a nasty threatening email to a client."

New Beginnings Construction, Inc., has performed all obligations pursuant to the contract. Ms. *** has breached the agreement between the parties by not paying in full for the service provided at her property.

Ms. **** is now seeking to enforce a contract in which she has breached.

Section 38-78-30(G) of the South Carolina Code of Laws clearly allows NBC to cancel this warranty for nonpayment.

Once Ms. **** fulfills her payment obligations; NBC is ready, willing and able to perform warranty services.
