On 4/2/2023 I took my vehicle to Take 5 oil change. I went for a routine oil change and was told that my vehicle was due for a coolant flush. I agreed for them to do the flush. Everything went fine so I thought. I went straight home and on the morning of 4/3/2023 I started up my vehicle to go to work and there was white smoke coming from under the hood. I immediately went back to the Take 5 location and they check it. The 2 employees came back to me and stated that they would need to tow my truck to Meineke and that towing would be covered. Later that day, I called Meineke to check on my vehicle and they told me that the Coolant line was broken when the flush was done and that Take 5 was responsible and would be covering the cost. They also informed me that the parts had to come from Chevy so the truck would not be ready that day. After hearing that news, I called Take 5 and spoke with an Employee (D) who stated that he was a manager. I informed him that I would need to get a rental because my truck would not be ready that day and I asked if I would be reimbursed. He reassured me that I would and to only bring the receipt for the rental and they would reimburse me. I booked the rental from (4/3/23 at 5:30pm-4/5/23 at 5:00pm) with this in mind. After returning the rental on 4/5/23, I went to the Take 5 location (around 7:00pm) with receipt and the manager at the time stated that they only had $36 in cash. I informed him that I would not accept that and I would return the following day for payment. I called the next morning on 4/6/2023 and spoke with another manager (L). After telling him what happened, he refused to agree with the reimbursement and stated that they do not need to pay me back for the rental because they already covered the Meineke repair bill. he was very rude and cut me off when I was trying to talk. Later that day i spoke with the district manager and he was not willing to reimburse me for the rental either.
