Roper Radiologists PA has one of the most incompetent billing departments in town that has been incapable for many months to correct the insurance information they have on file. In the last 5 months they have 5 times tried to bill the wrong insurance (my husband's instead of my own); then they send ridiculous bills directly to the patient while also FALSELY claiming that this was the remaining balance AFTER the insurance had successfully processed the claim. Each time I have to spend way too much time on the phone to have them supposedly update the wrong information they have on file. The last (4th) time this has happened in less than 6 months, I clearly warned Roper Radiologists PA that if I had to call in a 5th time concerning the very same issue, I will be forced to leave a negative review on BBB and potentially with the State's oversight authority, because I have to assume that this repeated behavior was an attempt to defraud patients, because the bills are issued for a balance that is 6-10 times above the allowed amounts of the insurance provider that Roper Radiologists PA would get reimbursed for when they would actually bill the insurance that I provide them with during my visits and when having corrected their mistake over the phone. Are Roper Radiologists PA reimbursing me for the hours I have to spend on the phone to fix their repeated billing mistakes every time I have a procedure done? Yes, mistakes can happen, but please provide a reasonable explanation why you can not update your database entries after a patient requested "sticky" changes 4 times already?
DESIRED OUTCOME: Correct your wrong database entry as requested on now 5 occasions in the last few months and make those changes sticky! Please train your staff in the operation of your billing system such that these mistakes are avoided in the future.
ADVICE TO OTHER PATIENTS: Avoid Roper Radiologists PA if you want flawless insurance claims processing and accurately issued invoices.
