I would like to upload a letter - this is a VERY long complaint with so many details as to how this company - Jared P****** - owner has taken advantage of my stress level, with misleading quotes, price guaging, bad workmanship - some of it is unrepairable and some is being redone by another contractor and things missing from my home

    Business Response

    Date: 06/26/2023

Despite numerous attempts, this person is not responding any messages directly to our organization at all.  There is not and has never been any contract in place.  This complaint is due to an insurance claim.  The individual was attempting to do a whole home remodel with funds from an insurance settlement due to a leaky dishwasher.

She asked me to provide two quotes- one for the insurance claim and one for work far beyond the scale and scope outlined in the initial claim.

It became apparent that this person is racist and prejudicial to black and brown individuals, workers are not comfortable with working on the project.  She had stated numerous times that she was an immigrant from Israel and felt strongly that 'anyone in America should only speak the english language because she had to learn the language.'

Furthermore, our insurance company was contacted and declined to cover her claims because she received the exact design quoted to her.

Our organization designs and consults on dozens of similar projects every year.    Our reputation for this type of project is nothing short of stellar.  Due to the nature of this complaint and the investigation by our insurance provider, we can only conclude that she is attempting to commit insurance fraud not once but twice and has no desire for true resolution.

We are entirely open to coming to a resolution but without the ability to communicate directly, we can only conclude that this particular client is looking for a handout.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

Claiming I'm a racist or that I am trying to commit insurance fraud is not only ridiculous but also defamatory. Yes, this is an insurance claim due to leak and yes I did additional work that I was very well aware I need to pay additional money for, the reason for the additional quote is for the additional work that was to be paid out of my own savings, unrelated to the insurance.

Jared  has promised none of his employees will enter my home without him present this has nothing to do with skin color or language skills, you hire someone who claims to be a general contractor,  come to find out after the fact he isn't licensed for anything , so you don't have to communicate with various different people,  only with him as the point of contact.

The business has not responded to any of the actual complaints about the bad workmanship.  The insurance company for this business is willing to pay for damages not for  bad workmanship, claiming his insurance company rejected my claim is yet another lie.

Furthermore.he says I am not willing to communicate with him eventhough there were numerous contacts from him  that is yet another lie, he wants more money to fix what was not done properly in the first place.

He also told me people owe him many thousands of dollars, he has a very hard time collecting  and if he doesn't complete my project his company will go bankrupt

Business needs to address actual complaints about lack of license. Bad workmanship etc, and not try to portray me as someone that is completely different than who I am to deflect from his wrongdoing

    Sincerely,
