On 18 May 2024, I visited Furniture Barn on 6329 Two Notch Road, Columbia, SC 29045. At the time of my visit, I was assisted by the manager, Jeff Hendricks. While there I purchased a bedroom set totaling $2,483.89.

The furniture was delivered on 24 May 2024. At this time, the employees broke the leg off of the chest. They notified me and said that they would replace the leg that was broken.

On 28 May 2024, they attempted to redeliver the chest however... the leg broke in the same location. They said that they had glued the leg back on and it apparently did not work.

I called the manager, Jeff Hendricks, after they left and he said that they would replace the dresser.

I do not have faith in this company considering they tried to redeliver a broken piece of furniture. If they would do that in the first place then why would I trust that the "new" chest will actually be new? How can I trust this furniture that should last me years when the company is untrustworthy?

At the very least I believe that some of the amount that was paid to the company be returned.

Customer : Leg on Chest Broken

The chest will be replaced on Friday 7,2024

    Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:

The furniture was delivered without being repaired or replaced, therefore, I do not trust the furniture that was already delivered. replacing the furniture that is broken SEVERAL weeks after I am supposed to already have the furniture is unacceptable. The business is practicing deceptive ways. This is unfair to me as a customer. Simply delivering the furniture after attempting to deceive me into believing the furniture was repaired is repulsive. Due to the inconvenience of having no chest for several weeks, the loss of trust in my furniture and your business, and the lack of care in handling this issue I believe there should be some type of compensation.

I feel that a 20% compensation of the purchase price is fair ($500).

This experience has been unenjoyable for both the company and myself.

    Sincerely,
    Trevor W*****

As a company our standard is to go above and beyond regarding satisfaction for our customers. This company prides the standards for business on our customers being satisfied. Our company has offered a new chest. The company is willing to pick all the furniture back up and after the inspection of the furniture the customer can be refunded after $80.00 each for delivery and pickup.

This is a correction to the original response. The customer paid for the delivery, therefore it would only be $80.00 for the pickup
