    I had a subscription with The State for many years. I paid annually for many years. There was a paper missed occasionally but I overlooked that. In 2021 I paid for a full year to end in 2022. I made multiple calls to The State because I was not receiving any papers. Each time there was an apology and they would have a manager to call me to resolve the problem. I never heard from anyone. Over the year I received 6 papers. Then, I received a bill for another $57.30. I did not pay so they sent it to a collection agency. I called the collection agency and told them why I did not pay. I did not receive any papers. They said to file a complaint. I also called The State. She was very rude and was trying to blame it on me for not canceling. I asked her why I would think I had to cancel something I was not receiving and what about the year I had paid for and received only 6 papers? She was unrelenting. Later, I called back. Again, I was chastised by not doing the right thing. He did say he would put in a request to remove the collection. We will see.

    I had a subscription with them for 2-3 years. All went pretty well with delivery (only a few missed) until our carrier quit on May 2021. My subscription was paid through sometime in June, but no papers were delivered after our carrier left. No credit received either for undelivered newspapers. Long story short, after many, many calls and e-mails complaining of the lack of service, asking to cancel and the. being talked into giving them another chance, over the course of 7 months up, I once again attempted to cancel via email. Apparently that wasn't good enough and now they are coming after me for an unpaid bill for a service not rendered. I have tried repeatedly to clear this up with them to no avail. They are insisting I owe them money for having been a subscriber when no service was ever rendered. Their customer service is horrible and as far as I'm concerned they are crooks!
