Apparently, while my dog was boarded at the Camp Bow Wow in Columbia, something happened to her collar and it broke. Not sure what happened to it exactly, but it has her tags (rabies and name tag) on it. I have repeatedly called them to have it shipped to me and the first couple of times they said they would, but didn't. The employee I talked to said she had to pay for the shipping out her her own pocket with reimbursement by her employer. I tried calling them the past couple of days and nobody answered, but I did leave a message to call me back, which they finally did. The person I talked to said an employee took the collar home with them for some reason, but that they were still in the process of trying to send it to us. This has been going on for about a month now. I just want my tags sent back to me. If it costs too much to send the collar, then whatever. I just want the tags back.

Hi-  I called customer today to see if they had received the tags yet.  According to one of our managers, Taylor, they were mailed last week.  I am currently waiting to hear back from client to see if they have received them.

      Better Business Bureau:

We received the tags yesterday. Thank you for sending them back to us.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

      Sincerely,
      Chris ******

The issue is concerning Camp Bow Wow Boarding Facility. My Goldendoodle attended daycare on 10/15/2022, and during the stay, she was assaulted by an unneutered black lab. During her stay, we saw while watching the live stream, the assault occurring, and we called twice to try and notify Camp Bow Wow of this issue occurring, however, we were unable to reach the office and left two detailed voice messages. Meanwhile, she has been assaulted and penetrated by this black lab, due to a lack of supervision. After picking our Goldendoodle up, I was recommended by the manager of the facility, to take our dog to see a vet and she mentioned she saw this issue occur on the camera. Once we took our Goldendoodle to the vet, the vet mentioned that our dog had a serious infection and has been torn in her vaginal area from the impact of the other dog, who forced himself into her. While at this visit the vet mentioned that our Goldendoodle was not in heat due to her being spayed on 4/11/2022 and that the male dog was still fertile. This vet visit cost us $287 at Banfield at Pet Smart. Once this bill was presented to the owner *********, she refuses to take full responsibility for this matter, which was indicated at the beginning of this issue. Speaking to ********* on numerous occasions, she refuses to give any proper information between our dog Vet and her Vet about this issue, and she keeps mentioning that she needs more vet documentation. ********* has received all of our dog vet records starting on 4/11/2022 to 10/21/2022 verifying all information that Banfield stated. However, she still refuses to take full responsibility for this issue and has been giving us different excuses. At this point, we would like to turn this issue over to you, and perhaps you can assist us to resolve this issue. Any other documentation that is needed to fulfill this claim, we are willing to provide that to you.

They are upset because their dog ****** was humped once at camp. Humping is a normal dog behavior( please google this and you will see that in neutered and spayed dogs this is a way of play to show excitement and dominance). They say several times but we only saw 1x on the camera. This was on 10/15. They called that day saying they did not think the camp counselor was paying enough attention to the dogs. Then they called back on the 16th saying she was not acting right and had swollen vagina. They did not take her to the vet until 6 days later on the 21st. They called back saying that the vet said she had been penetrated and the only way that would happen is if the male dog was in heat and that he may have "Reconnected" and they have an apt on the 8th to see if she is pregnant and has any other complications. Both ****** and the male dog in question have been spayed & neutered. Are policy is all dogs over 7 months of age must be spayed or neutered to attend camp. This all seemed highly unusual so I spoke to our vet and they said it is impossible for a male to go into heat (again google this- it anatomically impossible) and that there is nothing to reconnect to since he no longer has testicles. They mentioned it could be that the female was not spayed correctly and was in heat (Ovarian remnant syndrome) or she may have a vaginal mass. Both the mother and daughter have been calling camp and yelling and screaming wanting payment for their vet bill. The vet bill they provided does not have the total nor what the vet found. She sent the medication information (see attached). I asked for this info several times and was told that they would give ******** permission for me to get the information and talk to the vet about ****** but when I called ******** I was told that the pet parents had given them explicit directions to not give me any information regarding ******. She then emailed me her vet records from 4/11/22 to confirm her dog had been spayed. They also wrote a negative google review on Sunday 10/30/22. They also had a reservation for Christmas where they had paid a deposit ($188). On Sunday (10/30), they wanted me to guarantee that she would not get humped on that visit and I informed her that under no circumstances were we keeping ****** in December because I could not guarantee that her dog would not get humped since this is normal dog behavior and that they would not be comfortable leaving their dog with us. I told them I would have a refund check at camp Monday morning for them to pick up which they still have not picked up. Today I will be mailing the refund check to them because I do not want them in our facility due to their hostile and harassing behavior. They have yet to produce a vet bill with amount and diagnosis. I have attached a copy of the contract they signed releasing Camp Bow Wow of any cost of vet bills associated with coming to camp. However, I do not believe that this is even something that happened here since they are not producing any information or allowing contact with their vet. We have contacted a lawyer to send them an letter to stop this harassing behavior.
