The Horry Georgetown Homebuilders Association (HGHBA) is a non-profit professional trade association representing residential and commercial builders, subcontractors, suppliers and many other service providers to the home building industry throughout Horry and Georgetown Counties.

Horry Georgetown Home Builders Association is a membership organization offering the following memberships:



Builder Membership - shall be open to any person, firm, or corporation that is or has been in the business of building or remodeling homes, apartments, schools, commercial, industrial or other structures normally related and appurtenant to a community; and who performs this construction, or resides, within the territorial jurisdiction of this association; is of good character and business reputation; subscribes to the purpose of the association; and meets with the approval of the Board of Directors. All builder members must hold a current builders license issued by The South Carolina Licensing Board for Contractors or the South Carolina Residential Builders Commission, except in the case of retired builders.

Associate Membership - shall be open to any individual who is engaged in a trade, industry or profession related to the building industry; who subscribe to the Code of ethics of this Association and is of good character and business reputation. If the designated member representative leaves the member firm's employ, the firm may designate another representative for the balance of the membership year.

Membership Dues - The Board of Directors establishes the annual membership dues. Payment of dues to HGHBA automatically grants membership in the Home Builders Association of South Carolina (HBA of SC) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), therefore, providing services from all three organizations. The dues period for both builder and associate members begins with the date of their respective membership approval by the Board of Directors and expires on the last day of the twelfth month thereafter.
