I would give this facility zero stars if I could! Our child was there for six days and we never got to speak with a doctor. Visitation is only 30 minutes once per week and we were only able to visit as a group in a small gymnasium. We were not allowed to see the rest of the facility and from what we did see, the place is not nice. Communication is absolutely terrible/lacking/careless!! Then we found out from our 12 year old child that the kids were allowed to and watched several rated R horror movies. They are understaffed as well. All around completely unacceptable!!! We only got to speak with a case worker twice in almost a week and she reported that she was out for four days of the 6 that our child was inpatient there. Our child also told us that being there was not helpful. I could say plenty more negative comments but in short this facility needs to be shut down!!!!!

I wouldnt recommend this place at all. I stayed here involuntarily in November of 2018 in my senior year of high school (adult ****, I had just turned 18). It was more traumatizing than actually trying to take my life. *** had to receive therapy specifically for what went on while I stayed here. The staff was extremely negligent (a patient got choked out and her throat got cut open and I had to call for help because the staff had left us alone even though the aggressor had been making threats to the victim all week, roommate covered himself and the walls of our shared dorm in his feces, patient escaped the premises) and threatening (telling you they will throw cold water on you to get you out of bed, instigating with other patients). The roommates were dangerous and bio-hazardous (ex: threats of harming me, telling me I was going to h*** constantly, covering themselves and the walls in ***** matter). Therapy consisted of religious exercises, little games, and television. What a joke. The psychiatrist would not listen to me at all regarding my own body. I was put on extremely high doses of Effexor and ******* (I couldnt form words, stumbling around, fainted numerous times, my hands constantly shook, I couldnt form thoughts) and when I told the psychiatrist she dismissed me. I was there 11 days. It felt like a year in h*** I wanted to *** when I got out, but decided it better to get therapy for it and move on with my life. Please consider sending your loved ones or yourself to a better mental health facility that actually cares about you, rather than a check.

When someone is sent as inpatient to get the help much needed the expectation of a parent is to get exactly that. Personally as a Veteran who struggles with depression anxiety and Ptsd identify myself with my child but the difference is that with many years of the right treatment and right professionals I was where I was . Yes because Light house you took that away from me. Sadly my child came out worst than the way she came in. On top her initial diagnoses now she is traumatized and ptsd on her life. Didnt last one day out in school back inpatient in other place. She was there for a week but was Seen by Doctor after 4 day there to start new medication and discharged next day without the chance to see if meds works. No emphaty or communication at all for my kid or with me about treatment plan or progress even with many attempts from my part over the phone or in person. Only answer I got was that somebody will call me back and never did . So please DO NOT ALLOW TO SEND Your kids this place even if they get a ***** By the way thank you Light House for stealing my peace and for triggering my symptoms. Im back on treatment too after being stable for the past 15 years. But Im working on the violations of my kid rights and mine.

I have tried to reach out to get the staff to have my husband *********************** sign a waiver so I can talk to his personal team about what happened to him from July 7th to August 19th when I had called 911 2 times. I have seen personally what his medications helped him with and what they had not helped him with. I have not heard a word from him or any staff member. I am his wife and I have the right to know what is going on because I have a similar diagnosis as my husband. He has helped me in the past and now I want to do the same thing for him.

Wish I could rate 0 or (-)stars. My son was struggling w/mental illness, Local ER said he needed treatment. He admitted Fri. **** pmh& events that led to inpatient treatment. That night I get a call that my son could not sleep. They startedTrazadone 150mg scheduled. I asked them to address it Sat & reduce to 50 mg as needed. That took 5 days. My child called daily to tell me he was hungry. Double portions needs MD order. It was Tuesday before the order was done. Told staff we live 5 hours away, and we want to be active with DC plans. I could not be called day of D/C & to come get him. I work, have other kids@ home & live 5 hours one way from facility. On Wed was told dc on Fri,5/5. My pharmacy called Thurs, facility sent script to them, those meds are on back order until Monday. Called Facility & asked For the therapist. Was transferred to voice mail. By 2pm no return call. I called back explained the situation asked to speak with a live person again sent to voice mail. At 3pm called & Sent to voice mail. At 4pm no return call. I called the facility again. My calls were left to ring w/no answer or transferred to voice mail. Used my husband's phone & called a person answered the phone on the 2nd ring. Was only transferred to a live person after I said i would call DHEC. Therapist was free to talk. Said they'll have medicine called to ******* in ******. Arrived at ****. Told we cannot come in, must wait outside. we had driven nonstop since ****. My other kids in the car. Asked if we could use restroom was told There's *****'s down the street. Adult had to stay there incase my son discharged. My husband went to *****'s for the restroom. I spent 4 hours outside waiting. Nurse came out to discharge. Told him about the meds. ***** said Dr has left for the day. I voiced the dangers of stopping psych meds or missing 6 doses. Told him he needs to call MD. We ended up leaving w/no meds from the facility. My pharmacy sent the script to ******. This facility is incompetent
