    Summer of 2023, my air conditioner (4 years old) stopped working. My daughter in law came to my rescue, read directions of the newer thermostat, which the previous owner had installed, and instead of cool air, heat poured out when turned on. My son came over and could not figure out the problem so he called Four Star. This was a Sunday afternoon so I knew the charge would be double but was 100 degrees outside and I couldnt wait till Monday. Very nice serviceman came out, said nothing wrong with unit, heat was the default when tampered with, and suggested changing back to a simpler unit. This took probably 5 minutes. The fix worked, nothing wrong with my AC, and the charge was $550.00. I am 77 years old on a fixed income and this amount was shocking. My son called the owner Monday morning but his call was not returned. Receptionist said at the minimum, $50 would be refunded. My son left 2 messages for the owner to call; none returned, nor was the $50 refunded. Having just moved here from ******** and trying to get established with health providers and businesses, this was a low blow. I will continue looking for an affordable option for service. Four Star is certainly not the one.

    I hired this company to find a leak in my pool piping and they never found the leak. The pool water only goes down when the pump is running. The pipes are leaking somewhere and they cant ************ they are trying to charge me for the service that never solved my water problem. Called 3 times to talk with management but they never responded.
