I entered into an agreement May 15, 2025 with Pleasant Life Health Center but decided not to follow through with it because of financial reasons. I contacted them within three business days with a signed letter expressing my desires to cancel. I was told there's no such rule. I was informed there's no refund because of the agreement I signed. I was always under the impression consumers have a three-day cooling off period to change their minds without penalties. I thought this rule was put into place to protect consumers. I was also lied to. I’m a disabled veteran and I informed them I was going to contact the Veterans Administration (VA) to see if they had a program. I was told they have worked with many Veterans and VA didn’t have a neuropathy program. I accepted their answer but later contacted the VA and learned they do have a treatment program for Neuropathy. They did mail me some items and I'm willing to pay for even though one of the boxes isn't open and the other the box was opened but the contents were not. I ended up contacting them twice because I didn’t notice their first response.

***** ****** came to Pleasant Life Health Center and signed into the neuropathy program on May 15th, 2025. Our office
conducted a consult, thermal imaging, and a nerve damage exam. We went over
these findings and his recommendations on that day.
We made him aware that the neuropathy program was not covered by insurance and he used ********** to finance it. He did mention he was going to check
with the VA and we let him know that we have seen a lot of veterans try to get
it covered and they never do. I do have a clip of him asking and us saying
    exactly that if needed.
We also went over that once the equipment
and nutrients were ordered that they
were non-nonrefundable as well as the professional protocols. He agreed and signed a document stating that there were no refunds (attached).
We also did a softwave treatment that day and made
him aware that we would be ordering his equipment that day. He agreed and we
ordered the equipment so that he could get started. (order invoice attached)
    He reached out 3
days later via email wanting to cancel care. We responded, letting him know
that the equipment, nutrients, and professional protocols were non-refundable
as agreed upon and explained when signing into care that day. We have refunded the unused in-office visits (attached)
Please reach out if you have any additional questions. Thank you,

    October 1, 2024. for a free consultation.
On October 10th I tried to cancel Pleasantville Life Health Center Neuropathy treatment.
They said," I signed the form so, I have to continue paying".
Their advertisement was deceiving. They showed a woman sitting in a chair with equipment and scran wrap on her legs with a doctor by her side. That is the treatment I thought I would be receiving, but instead they mailed me wrappings for my feet and vitamin powder drinks.
They also showed me a movie describing what Neuropathy is and you can die from it. What can happen if not treated it can lead to death. It scared ME to death.
What was sent to me is not worth $9,923.00.
I already payed them $1,000.00. They items sent to me was not worth $300.00

    To Whom It May Concern,

Mr. ********* came to us with his wife for her neuropathy
consultation and signed into care on October 1st, 2024. We  did the free nerve scan as well as more
advanced testing   to see what would be needed for her case. We do
play an educational video but death is not one of the outcomes of neuropathy
and definitely not on the video. It does go over the typical symptoms and
complications of neuropathy as well as how we fix it in our office. We do this
to educate the patients on neuropathy and our treatments. We find that the most
educated patients typically make the best ones.

After the testing and education on our different treatments,
we went over with her and her husband ****** what the treatment options are and
the cost of care before they incurred any charges. We also went over with them
before they signed into care and before they signed the care document that once
the medical grade equipment and premium nutrients are ordered that it is non-refundable.
They agreed and signed the care document that also states no refunds. They
decided to put $1,000 down and finance the rest of their care through CareCredit.

Her equipment and nutrients were ordered that day and sent
to her house as agreed upon. We are not able to take this back into the office
and give it to another patient as it is hers now.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any more
    questions.

When watching their television commercial they mentioned Neuropathy can cause people to be confined to a wheel chair, amputation of feet or would have to use a walker.

There was no extra testing as they stated.  They said there were extra methods, but never discussed it  plus stating the equipment was not refundable.  I understand I can not return the equipment, but I am sure the $1000.00 we gave them would cover whatever equipment  they gave me.

They kept saying to my husband, "Do you want to push your wife around in a wheel chair. That wasn't a nice thing to say to my husband and for me hearing that statement.

I can't understand why I have to pay  $9,000.00 for services not rendered. Buying a car you don't pay until you receive it yet they want me to pay up front.

To me this is a scam. I hope others don't get deceived like I was.

    To Whom It May Concern,

The TV commercial and education in the office does go over the complications of peripheral neuropathy which include symptomatic issues such as burning, tingling, numbness, pain and more in the feet and hands. Peripheral neuropathy can also end up in canes, walkers, wheelchairs and amputations if it gets bad enough. These are well known symptoms and complications of neuropathy. It comes up in a simple google search on peripheral neuropathy. The educational video also goes over how we treat neuropathy in the office and not just the complications.

I have listened to the patient’s consultation and there was no mention of a wheelchair or pushing ******** around in a wheelchair. The only time a wheelchair was mentioned was in an educational aspect of neuropathy and it was grouped with the other complications that can occur as well.

After the initial consultation and preliminary testing which includes using gloves to test the sensory and motor nerves, the doctor did do a full sensory nerve exam and thermal imaging. I’ve attached the pictures of the thermal imaging, the numbers corresponding to the nerve damage test and the result of the nerve damage testing that was done.

Each patient has recommendations that are based on their testing and consultation. We only go over the methods that are necessary for that patient. I’ve also attached the signed care document from ******** and ****** as well as a breakdown of the equipment/program cost. We have refunded the unused virtual visits back to CareCredit which I can send if needed but it only allowed 5 attachments for this response.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any more questions.

In April 2022 I fell prey to a ******** ad for a free neuropathy evaluation @ Pleasant Life Health. (I suffer from Raynaud's syndrome which has similar symptoms.) At my evaluation, I was told I have fairly severe neuropathy in my feet and that I REALLY needed their treatment, which would repair & reverse the neuropathy. They promised the world, that my symptoms would completely disappear with treatment. The catch, I had to pay $12,000 for the visits, equipment, and nutritional therapy. I did not have $12,000, so Scott, the co-owner, offered a payment plan. I agreed to sign up for the payment plan and proceeded to fill out paperwork, and schedule my visits, and went home with a Nutrition Therapy kit. (I opened and started using the nutrition kit immediately.) For several weeks I went twice a week, sat in a decompression chair for 15 mins, then a 15 min vibration session, the doctor never touched me. They also sent me two machines a few weeks later, but by that time I had talked to my doctor and verified that I do not have Neuropathy, so I did not open the equipment. In a month, I decided I'd had enough. I tried to contact them to cancel services. They made it impossible to reach them, intentionally hid their email address, so I faxed & mailed letters, and left a voicemail. I only received a response from Pleasant life when the finance company told them I had cancelled, so apparently they do not check their "fax machine" after making that the only way to contact them. I dropped off the 2 unopened boxed of equipment, which they still have but have not refunded me for. Scott, called to say I couldn't cancel, and they would only refund me $2,000 of the original amount. They are unwilling to be reasonable or understanding. I do not expect a refund for the visits, or the nutrition kit, but I do want to be refunded for the unopened unused equipment and the cancelled visits.

We have a signed document that is attached saying that equipment, nutritional supplements and professional protocols are not able to be refunded once equipment is ordered to be shipped to their house. The only refundable part is any unused in office visits. We go over this with each patient before they sign the document. We did refund the unused office visits.

Our office phone number is posted on our website, ******, ******** and other sources to call and email. We also provide each patient with two apps in which they can communicate with us. ****** used one of the apps and we responded to her there. She also had utilized our texting service in the past. I have attached screenshots of both of those with her using them.

We did try calling ****** and left voicemails after we got a dispute letter from the loan company. We never received a call back from her. I can try to get call logs from the phone company if needed.

She did show up randomly one day and put the equipment on our front desk during business hours saying that she was returning it. We informed her that we can't take the equipment back and she walked out the door leaving it. We have held onto her equipment as we can't give equipment that has been with another patient to someone else. The equipment had been at her house for almost a month and she had told us at her office visits that she was using it. We can reship her equipment to her at no cost to her.

Please let me know if there is anything else that you need.
