    I received a phone call about two weeks ago, when the manager/employee of storage wise (formerly b&r storage) told me I had a balance of $125 dollars left to pay from the former owners. I asked for the documentation with the payments I missed, or any late fee's. They will not provide any documentation to support what they are saying, It seems they just want me to pay this fee and don't ask any questions. I have gone to two banks and got copies of checks written to B&R storage and all months of payments are accounted for. I have informed them of this and they still will not send me any documentation that will support what they are saying. I have almost two years of checks written to and cashed by B&R Storage as proof. They don't seem to care. The next problem is, without any notification they tell me I can only pay the lease fee online now. I have paid with a check for twenty two years. They have locked me out of my storage building and i"m 100% sure that i am up to date with the payments. The only thing they would send me was a link to pay online which does not seem to work, and a copy of of a contract I had never seen before and my signature was not on it. Almost all the tenants pay on the first, but my original contract I signed in 2002 had me paying on the 16th. Which contract is enforceable. Should they have to provide me with my original contract so I can end the lease agreement the correct way. Should they have to provide documentation that shows any payments I have missed. I'm ready to pay anything I owe, or provide proof if I have paid already, but they won't let me. My June due date is almost here, but I can't pay if they won't take any form of payment that is not online, and I can't pay online because the link does not work. I have sent three emails to these people stating some of the same things I'm telling you and they do not respond. I'm look for a legal way to resolve this issue, have them to remove there lockout off my unit, pay my last month rent.

    Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/06/27) */ We contacted the previoud owners to verify debt/fees. They said debt is valid but We reached out to the tenant and resolved this issue by waiving the fees/debts we received from previous owners when we bought the facility. Tenant is now current with no known issues. Consumer Response /* (450, 12, 2022/06/30) */ I have read over the the reply you got from them. They did not waive the fee's. I had to email copies of checks from the bank that showed I had already paid all the months they accused me of not paying. They never sent me any written notices of being late before they locked me out of my storage building. I was current the entire time, they just refused to listen until I contacted the storage wise corporate head quarters. So they didn't waive anything, they were simply wrong the entire time and I did not get so much as an apology. I am in the process of collecting my items from that facility, so they can rent to another tenant, so I guess the problem is resolved.
