    week of 9.11.23 Hired Smart Move Solutions, LLC to move me on 9.19.23 9.18.23 Contract was delayed in sending to me due to "technical issues" Received it 3.15 PM Thought Item .25 looked suspicious. Asked Dustin about it and he said of course he had insurance. Movers damaged expensive items as follow: Removed plastic covering off sofa and placed on dirty flooring twice to screw legs on/off. Scraped top of expensive Lexington dresser which devalues the dresser and will have to be refinished. The older mover, became very aggressive when damage was pointed out and said they did not do the damage, The other mover evidently was Owner's 20 year old nephew. However, I and my previous mover who moved me INTO ***** ***** Storage on 8.26.23 can confirm that there was no damage to the dresser prior as per BEFORE photographs. Seeking compensation for cleaning couch and refinishing top of Lexington dresser in amount of $1,00.00. Smart Moving Solutions, LLC may not have required "Released Value Coverage" insurance. On 9.21.23 Owner of Smart Moving Solutions stated to me over the phone he had insurance but that he would rather refund my $300 than go thru insurance which he probably does not have. I asked him to text me this agreement in writing - he refused. Since then he has not responded to me nor refunded my money. I sent him before and after photos. Violations are as follows: 1. Predatory Sales Practices - I am a 70 year old woman who was stonewalled and being taken advantage of 2. Damage to Personal Property 3. Deceptive Advertising - Possibly flying under the DOT radar by operating as a Moving Company fraudulently without complying with FTC insurance requirements
