  Do not hire this company. The came in response to a call from my home warranty company. They did not dismantle my toilet or plumbing. Their diagnostics consisted of eyeballing my toilet. They then told the home warranty that the damage to the 30 year old toilet "was not due to normal wear and tear". As a result, the home warranty company refused to pay for the repair but collected a $135 service fee. Honesty then sent me an estimated repair cost of almost $800 for the job. You should never just come out, stand around and look at something without any hands on work to diagnose. Don't use this company. I declined to have them repair my toilet. Find a reputable company. This one isn't.

  On January 5, 2024, American Home Shield dispatched a plumber to address a leaking pipe under my kitchen sink and a mobile faucet head, which had loosened due to a rusted, fallen s**** This caused water to accumulate on the counter, posing a risk of future damage.The plumber claimed there was no leak. I had to wake my father to assist in diagnosing and fixing the problem, which the plumber initially denied. The plumber then requested to check the water pressure, which I allowed. Upon returning, he informed me that the faucet issue would not be covered because high water pressureallegedly my faultwas the cause. He also attempted to sell me a pressure monitor and a $750 faucet, which I declined.I immediately contacted *** and was told that my claim did not require water pressure testing. A second opinion was promised with a different provider. I also called Honest Mechanical to report their plumber's behavior and was brushed off. This company is everything but honest.

  They are totally dishonest. Their plumber can to fix leak in my toilet flush and reported to the home warranty company that there was a crack, the warranty company declined then repair. I saw there was no crack and even send them pictures - they refused to resend their plumber or reverse their opinion. Finally, I had to pay and get another *********************** who came and fixed it in 10 minutes - there was no crack, only a gasket had to be changed.

  After reading the other reviews, I feel better - It is NOT JUST ME that thinks Honesty Mechanical has issues with professionalism as well as not actually fixing anything! I too have American Home Shield as my home warranty company. I too had Honesty Mechanical come to my home to fix a slow drain and just check the tank bolts on a toilet, and to see if they could diagnose the issue with the same toilet running after SOME flushes- not EVERY flush. The first technician arrived over 3 hours later than the appointment time ( 12:15 pm instead of 9:00 am). He blamed his lateness on his new phone then told me that they dont do preventative maintenance, like checking tank bolts. He flushed the toilet a couple of times, it didnt start running, so he announced it fixed! He told me he couldnt snake the slow drain because he couldnt remove the p-trap.. it was painted over. He told me that he would need to remove part of the wall to have access to the pipe to snake it, but because of the age of the house, it might have lead paint and they dont touch that. Yikes! So, I had paid American Home Shield $100 for Honesty to do nothing! I called American Home Shield and they put in a recall ticket for the following day. The technician arrived on time! Yay! Im thinking, were doing good! No! He has no clue as to the recall ticket - he thinks hes here to fix my garbage disposal! I call Honesty, he calls Honesty. Finally, we are on the same page. He goes up to look at the sink and moves a curtain, which breaks the curtain rod! At that point, he announces that American Home Shield should send out a different company.. and he left! On the plus side, he DID fix the garbage disposal and he did not charge me for it. But, the rest of the nonsense? ******! Very unprofessional and frankly a bunch of childish excuses to not do work.

  I have an American home shield plan. Last year two of my air conditioners went out, and AHS sent these guys. Terrible luck getting them. Somehow we ended up paying over $7,000 for two new units, and one of them hasn't worked since last August. They told us in August they needed to order parts, and that it would *********** weeks. Finally in October they came and "fixed" the unit. The first time we turned it on this spring it didn't work. They came out and said it was a bad compressor. They said that was covered by warranty so another week later they came out t to fix it. It was blowing cold for almost a week, and now it's out again. A brand new unit. I don't trust them to do honest work. They don't seem to care at all about getting down to the actual issue. I also had one of their techs get hostile with me and threw a bunch of attitude about what wasn't covered. I kindly asked him to leave my house, and he proceeded to stomp around and left while mumbling curses under his breath. I'm at the end of my rope with this company, and I still have no AC working. Do not hire this company.

  If you have a home warranty do not let this company in your house!They are working for them!The plumber that serviced the pipe leak was half honest with us and he miss written his report in the favor of AHS.He report it everything without having and presenting a concrete proof of the manufacturer.At the end of his service he tried to sell us a complete pipe system replacement for the entire house.

  HORRIBLE!! Scheduled an apt to replace a part on my furnace but the company forgot to place the order!! I didn't find out til today, day of apt! The tech went to pick up the part to find out no order was placed. Today is thurs and the part won't arrive til Monday. So wont be til Tues probably that my hear will be back working. I'm pissed!

  This company was out to my home 3 times in 3-4 weeks and I am still having issues with my air conditioner. Ill be finding a different company to come out thats actually honest.

  This company was in my home due to my American Home Shield policy. They have lied to me repeatedly in the four months I have been working with them. They have also lied repeatedly to American Home Shield. They demanded money to fix a job they started, stating that *** had denied the claim. *** stated that they had no record of ever receiving the claim. This company's tech was very upset that I did not hire a company for other repairs that he had recommended, and he stated that the job would have been finished if I had done that instead of going with a different company for (unrelated) repairs. They are TERRIBLE. I don't know if there is a way to use a different company with AHS, but if there is not, then I will be changing my policy.

  These guys are great! I've had problems with my water heater and then with my garbage disposal. Both times they came quickly and were very friendly, and got the work done in record time! ************** ??
