Ohana Services, LLC was supposed to complete a sunroom by 2/9/24. They required me to pay in advance of phases of the work even though I requested a payment schedule amendment to pay after each phase of work was completed. This was requested because they were behind on the project. I asked for a detailed itemized project budget, but they would not provide it. They have not done any real work in over two and a half months.I'm requesting a refund for services/materials I have paid for in advance, $6,984 on 1/25/24, that were not completed/provided by Ohana. This is part of $10,701 paid on that date. The items are interior/exterior materials/labor, windows/door labor, remaining window/door materials that exceed the remaining project balance credit, trash/debris clean up, and the credit card fee related to the refund of services/materials. Ohana is rejecting to refund me the money. They are trying to keep money for materials/work they did not provide or complete.Ohana (***********************) said that they were fine with me using other sub-contractors or people to complete work when there are challenges with getting the work done by Ohana. Challenges continued and still continue. Ohana stopped communicating with me from 2/27 - 3/14 which I understood that Ohana quit the project. After I filed a dispute for a refund, they started trying to communicate but that was too late because I already had taken alternative actions. The sunroom was unfinished; therefore, it was vulnerable to the weather elements, safety, and security risks. I had to take actions to progress the project. Ohana has resigned/closed permits and removed my electrician from the permits which prevents final electrical inspection and final project inspection.Im requesting (1) a refund pertaining to the aforementioned items, (2) reactivation of permits, (3) adding back the electrician so the final electrical inspection and final project inspections can be requested and completed.

I am rejecting this response because there are clarifications that need to be made and falsifications identified by me in the business's response. The clarifications and falsifications are captured in blue text of the attachment.  Also, my proposed resolution is captured at the bottom of the attachment.  As mentioned in the attachment, Curtis Rowan emailed me that they will get the money refunded as soon as the complaint on the general contractor's license is removed.  I can provide his email as evidence if needed. This seems like a blackmail attempt to me. In other words, if I do not remove the complaint on the GC license Ohana would not refund me the money. This is unfair and deceptive if agencies and customers are not privy to this complaint to make informed decisions.

I am rejecting this response because I will not drop any complaints.  Ohana can let me know when and how they will refund me the remaining $1,327 they owe me for materials and work not completed by Ohana. I'll refrain from the back and forth.
