This place is an absolute disgrace. Our 1 year old lab puppy was boarded there when we were traveling for 10 days. Not only did they send ALL of her food back with her, she came home with cuts and sores all over her skin, a chemical burn on her stomach, and had lost 17 lbs in the 10 days she was there. They claimed to me that the food container, which was premeasured for the duration of her stay, was "too heavy to carry" and that they fed her in house food. We took her to another veterinarian office to have her evaluated because she was so traumatized and unwell. The vet was not even able to gather a fecal sample because they starved her while she was in their "care". They are abusive and should be ashamed. Animal control should shut this place down. They lied to me and told me multiple different stories, and then lied and told another different story to the animal control officer. They don't refund the boarding fee after they clearly neglected to provide the service they promised. I will tell every person I know how horrific they were to our sweet puppy. The minimum they should be doing is refunding the cost of their horrible boarding service. They should also be paying the $600 very bill for our puppy to receive treatment for the injuries she sustained in their care.

    Business Response

I am sorry that you do not believe that we cared for **** during her boarding stay. She has boarded here multiple times and we love having her. During this stay (which was longer) we noted a higher level of activity and possible anxiety than previously. We texted you on 8/7 asking if one of the veterinarians could assess her for anxiety and possibly prescribe medication to relax her. We did not receive a response from you.
She ate the provided food (1 scoop twice a day) in the slow feeder you provided. She went to the bathroom regularly (many times in her run) and did not have any diarrhea while she was with us.
We sent you pictures of her at playcare with a report card on 8/8 (by text) describing her as enthusiastic, playful, friendly, sweet and silly but we did not receive a response from you.
We texted you again on 8/10 to let you know that we had removed her early from playcare due to several male dogs trying to mount her since she is not yet spayed. We do this for the safety of the pets. We did not receive a response from you.
It is possible that she had been scratched during playcare, which is why you signed a waiver acknowledging that during dogs playing together they might end up with abrasions and scratches due to the nature of dog play.
We do not clean the kennel runs while the pets are inside. They are moved to their outside run, the run is then cleaned with Rescue (accelerated hydrogen peroxide) which is extremely safe and degrades to oxygen and water. The dogs are allowed back inside after the run is dry and the process is repeated outside. No chemical are used while the runs are occupied.
It is always possible for pets to lose weight while they are boarding and I am sorry you feel that we do not care. I believe based on her happiness while she was here, her records and our communication to you, that it is obvious that we do.
