I have been seeing Dr Smith for 2 years. During that time had several last-minute cancellations & I had to wait online for 20 minutes for video appts more than once because he was late. Dr Smith understands that with the ADHD he was treating me for, I had issues with keeping appointments straight. I missed one online appointment & his office charged me. When I finally spoke to Dr smith, he said he would never charge a first-time missed appointment fee & had it waived. I have been back and forth with their billing department who was not very nice. Neither is the woman who runs the office, she is the worst! I was running 10 minutes late & walked in the door right at the 10-minute mark. By the time I sat down after being checked in, they said I was one minute late, and I would have to go back home. I told them to let Dr Smith know I was there, and they told me I could not speak to him. Because of the previous issue I had with them about the missed appointment, I did not believe that he would do that, knowing that I just got over a nervous breakdown which surprisingly, he didn't seem very concerned about when I told him. I said I would sit down & wait for him and the office manager told me she would call the police if I didn't leave. I've never been treated so poorly in my entire life! I don't know if Dr Smith knows how his psychiatric clients are being treated but I wonder how many have gone home and committed suicide because of this. This is not the way you talk to people who need psychiatric help!
A week or so later, I got an unsigned letter from their office telling me I had been let go of their services. They didn't even have the courtesy to sign it. I hope no one ever books with this office or Dr Smith, who never contacted me to see if I was okay, they are a detriment to your psychiatric needs
