      According to information from Copper Safe Storage, **** *** ****** Ormond, FLA 32173, this is the situation: I rent storage space at Brad's Self Storage in Lubbock, TX. I have been renting this space for several years. Earlier this month I received a text from Copper Storage saying that they had bought the company and it is now known as Brad's Storage-Annex. The text told me that I had missed my May 2024 payment and the property in my unit was in danger of being seized and sold at auction. I verified with my bank that my payment check had been cashed, and I e-mailed Copper Safe Storage copies of the check and my bank statement. On June 28th someone called me and let me know that the payment had been accepted; reassured that they had not lost my money, I mailed my June 25 payment the same day, June 28th. They also e-mailed me a receipt and I thought that the matter was taken care of, but today I received a text with the same threat of my property in danger of being auctioned off. They have locked me out of my unit; The front gate to the facility is wide open but my unit is double-locked. I can't find any scams online connected with this company. I don't want my property seized because of this company's incompetence.

      When I first moved into their storage unit the gate was broken and I informed them that it needed repairs. I was told that it would be fixed. I drive by the unit everyday and the gate was never repaired. 4 months in I go to check my unit and it was broken into. I called and told them that the unit was damaged and that I was moving out. The lady said "Ok sir, I'm sorry to hear that" and that was the end of it . Now I'm receiving emails for late charges. I called them and they said I have to send a picture of the empty unit and pay the past due amount to close my account. I told them that I would send them pictures but I'm not paying for 2 months rent when i wasn't using their facility.

      l have called Greenville lock and storage in the past month including this month to make a regular storage payment.However, when l reach out to them they don't return my calls after l have left several messages in reference to making a payment. I have been by their multiple times to put a money in the dropbox .They have the drop box type off. At this point l really don't know what to do.I am at aha about the whole situation but any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

      Notes here on the situation:

       

      We have spoken with this tenant. We are an unmanned facility so therefore no drop box is available. For this tenant, we have waived $165 in late fees that were due. The tenant has agreed to pay the remaining amount of rent due on 12/1.
