Questionable business practices. Fail to disclose true cost. I purchased a walk-in shower in November 2023, remove existing tub from Palmetto Bath. I decided to purchase an offered option; shower seat. After the fact, in April 2024, it was revealed to me that the seat cost Palmetto Bath 294.38. Company charged me 1188.00 for the seat. Cost, according, to company itemization provided me in April;

20.60 tax
97.41 portion of commission paid to Sales Consultant
97.41 portion of commission paid to installer
126.64 cost of marketing to generate sales appt
214.32 general overhead, office staff, liability and workman comp insurance, payroll taxes, 401k matching, profit sharing, training, utilities etc

Five weeks after Ms. ******** project was completed and paid for she claimed she went on ****** and found a seat that cost only $200. She also claimed that she paid $1200 for the seat and demanded a $1200 refund based on her finding a different product on ****** 5 weeks later while she continued to enjoy they seat we provided, installed and put under a lifetime warrant for both parts and labor. She has never made one complaint about the **** ***** seat we installed and provided, but rather believes she is entitled to a FREE seat because she found a different product on ****** and that we should have used a cheaper product and install it at cost.
She also took her claim to small claims court and DID NOT win her request for a free seat. Furthermore, after discounts she actually paid 974.16 and NOT the $1200 and $1188 (price before discounts) which she has falsely claimed in her complaint here. A breakdown was provided to her in court as a demonstration on what it cost our company to provide and install a **** ***** seat at a 12.6% Gross Profit for the company which is consistent with our overall gross margins.
This complaint has no merit and is simply a request for unjust enrichment and should be removed.
