    I contracted with Modern Concrete Contractors, LLC on May 30, 2024 for do work at my home in the form of pouring a concrete patio. We agreed to a price and he gave me a certainty that he would have the job done on the week of June 3, 2024. Due to weather limitations, the job was not performed. The company did not contact me to reschedule. On Wednesday, June 5, 2024, I reached out to Parker C******* regarding the job. He responded by text the following day saying the job would be done “definitely” the following week. I did not hear from him the following week to schedule a time. On 6/12/2024, I sent an email and text to Parker who said he would not be able to pour the concrete until June 19th and the prep would be on June 18th. He said he had me on the schedule for June 18th and 19th. I responded that if we could not get it done at that time, I would be requesting a refund. He then sent an email saying he would have it done on Monday, June 24th. On Friday, June 21st, I sent and email asking if we were on for Monday. On Sunday, June 23, 2024, Parker responded “no ma’am” because he had not heard from me. He said he would issue a refund on Monday, June 24th in the “am.” He made the excuse of not have access to the funds on a Sunday, but that he would transfer the funds and issue a refund. I sent a payment link for immediate payment, but he failed to pay or respond to text messages.

    I am frankly concerned about the legitimacy of this company. He has mad excuses and taken my money and now refuses to refund me.

    This complaint was closed out. The customer received her refund on the day it was told it would be sent. I unfortunately didn’t send it in time (5:30pm) as I was still out in the field. However she received her refund of $1750 at 6:09pm when I was back to my phone and able to do so.
