I purchased a brand new pajama set. The pants were long so I took them to ***** to have them hemmed. I also took six other pairs. When I picked them up, the other six pairs were all together in one bag but she couldn’t find this other particular pair. For some reason they had been separated. I didn’t think much of it at the time until I put them on the next evening. I found eight different spots where the fabric had been burned from her iron. Two spots were so large that it burned all the way through and they repaired them. They didn’t bother to tell me any of this happened when I picked them up. When I returned to her to address the situation, she immediately became defensive and irate. She said that’s on you, you did this yourself! I asked her how I could’ve done this myself? She said that somehow, I ripped holes in my pants and I repaired them myself. I said, they are repaired with the exact same thread that was used to hem the pants, which is your thread. I told her I don’t even know how to sew . She argued and argued, and then approached her assistant. In another language, she told her asst what the problem was. Her asst looked at me and said yes, I remember repairing those, you brought them into me and told me that your daughter had burned cigarette holes in your pants and you needed them to be repaired. I told her at that time, I don’t even have a daughter! And, I’ve never even met you! I told her you are lying straight to my face, and I cannot believe you have the audacity to lie to me so blatantly. Her response was, no I remember, you brought them to me and told me that someone dropped a cigarette on your pants. I said, you mean to tell me I tried to say someone dropped a cigarette in eight different places on my pants? She said yes! *** further started to tell me this was my problem and that I must have purchased them this way. Now they’ve said I did it myself, I brought them in & said a cigarette was dropped on them and that I bought them this way
