    I've been renting in ************** on *** for 40+ years. Several weeks ago, we went to HHI for a few days retreat; kids brought friends and my husband and I were excited to let them have some fun. Sharing most of an email I sent to this company, never heard back....Super disappointed. As noted-bad things happen, no one is perfect, but the way a company handles those unfortunate scenarios speaks volumes. Needless to say, we will not recommend this company & will not rent from them again. "Dear Island Getaway - I'd like to share my disappointment once again at the experience we had this past week with our rental at 463 Captains Walk. I've had issues with rentals before; certainly, issues come up - life happens and there is no way that every issues can be anticipated or avoided. In this circumstance, however, I'm disappointed with how it was addressed. To walk into a condo that books for over $500 a night and to see construction paper, littered with drywall, paint and other debris was a shock. To see a wall that was clearly in the midst of some sort of repair, w/the dust that goes along with any drywall repair literally everywhere in that hallway, back bedroom, covering fans (ceiling and oscillating) was even more shocking. Even maintenance was shocked at how it was left. Then, the mess that was left behind when the construction paper/some debris was removed was also extremely disappointing. I ended up going out to purchase new towels - because I was so scared that more glass from the dryer could have gotten into the towels that I had dried - and of course, I couldn't bear to think of my kids or me or my husband drying off with towels covered in what could be tiny glass shards. While I appreciate the credit for the cleaning fee of I guess 175; and then a credit for the " "inconvenience" of not being able to do laundry from basically Monday to Wednesday (with 5 children and 2 adults) of $150.I am still overwhelmed with disappointment...."
