I've got a mortgage through movement Mortgage. My homeowners insurance company never recipients escrow payment and as a result lapsed. I've tried contacting several people with movement and get no help. Saying we have no record of your mortgage.Business Response

Movement Mortgage, LLC (Movement) is in receipt of the above-referenced complaint that was filed with the Better Business Bureau.Following receipt of his complaint, Movement attempted to contact the consumer to discuss his concerns in more detail. As Movement does not service the consumers loan, Movement left a voicemail for the consumer, advising him to contact VHDA to voice his concerns and seek relief. I was double charged for my mortgage payment in July which Movement Mortgage explained happened to many people due to the 1st of the month falling on a holiday weekend. I came back from vacation on July 10th to see that two payments had been taken out totally about $2432. I called and requested a refund as was promised the money back within 5 business days. No refund was issued. I called back and was told the refund was put in incorrectly and they requested another refund and to wait 5 business days. I called back multiple times to check on the status and was told to keep waiting. During one of my inquiries I was told that a check was issued on the 19th of July despite my payment being electronic and was told to wait 10 business days. After that time, nothing had come, I talked to multiple employees including managers with no resolution. My August payment was taken out on 01AUG122. I called to see where my check was and noone could help me. I called my personal bank to dispute the charge. My personal bank issued a credit. I received a call from movement saying they were calling to collect a debt and unless I gave the overpayment back, they would be fining me. I refused and told them to work it out with my personal bank and they kept threatening to fine me. I explained that they had taken 3 payment in 2 months and I disputed the charge with my bank since they could not refund the money despite multiple requests. I LEGALLY disputed the charge with my bank after I gave Movement Mortgage AMPLE time to fix their mistake. I told them repeatedly that I had paid multiple fines due to them taking my money out and not being able to pay other bills. No one offered any sort of resolution. Once I took the matter into my hands and to a bank that I actually trust, they threatened to fine me if I didn't return the money I never authorized for them to take in the first place. Now they have blocked me from accessing my online account. I've never had a missed or late payment.Business Response

Loan number ********** I was divorced in October 2021; I have not lived in the address since December 2021l. The judge awarded this house to *********************. ********************* and ************************* started to do paperwork to have ********************* assume the loan in January 2022. Movement mortgage was given the divorce decree before I moved from the residence. For the last seven-month Movement Mortgage has given ********************* and ************************* the runaround on the paperwork to have ********************* to assume the loan in her name. We have numerous notes on numerous employees from the company that stated one thing then stated another. Due to the divorce and financial hardship during Covid; the residence was placed on forbearance. However, the loan was started to be pay again in November 2021. Seven months later, I received a letter from Movement Mortgage that the loan cannot be assumed. This is the absolutely the worse company I have ever dealt with. Now I was informed that the loan is now being sent to another mortgage company. Instead, doing their research and their job this could have been seen early and the loan could have already been refinanced. This situation could have been done way before 7 months later.I believe Movement Mortgage keeps the loan and get the house refinanced to ********************* in the quickest way possible. This is an extreme hardship not only to ************************* but for ********************* as well.Business Response

I am seek reimbursement from Movement Mortgage for an insufficient funds fee I was charged. I have tried to resolve this issue with the mortgage company directly with not real effort on their part. This same exact problem happened twice and both times I had sufficient funds in the account. Since this happened twice I believe they have a systematic problem. I made a large payment towards principle and the payment did not go thru due to insufficient funds. I was told to contact my bank and ask why they were denying the payment. I contacted my bank and I was informed they never received a request for payment from Movement Mortgage. Each time this happened I would process the payment again and each time the payment would go thru on the second try. Only after incurring an insufficient funds fee and additional interest from my first payment not going thru.Business Response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and will wait for resolution. They have not cleared the insufficient funds fee and I was told it would be removed from my escrow. I am waiting for finalization of my loan to determine whether they fixed it or not.
