We entered into a contract with Low Country Contractors in September 28th, 2022. A deposit was made of $22,247.25. deposited October 4th. In the interim this project was for a Laundry Room ONLY. In addition every designer that was assigned to us was terminated or left LCC before we received any concrete renderings in CAD. In January of 2023 we began navigating a larger issue within the house and by February we made an executive decision to tear down the entire 7,000 sf to the studs and sub flooring making the laundry room project obsolete as a whole. Because of the catastrophic nature of the project we had to hire an Architect, Builder and Designer to execute and re-engineer the mechanicals in the overall home. This was no longer 1 laundry room but 19 rooms in the overall home. At one point we thought we could coordinate a working relationship between ******** Brothers and Low Country Contractors however that proved fruitless. In short we requested to terminate the relationship and receive our deposit back repeatedly to the tune 14 emails which is in the contract as an option. Low Country Contractors did not 1 thing in our home. There was no demo, no work NOTHING. Jeremy B********* and Ryan P******** ("GC") proved that being thieves was an easier route than producing a refund on a project it is apparent they would not be able to handle. We hired Peter M**** and served Mr. B********* with a letter demanding a refund. We have spent time with City of Charleston permit department in addition a visit with law enforcement due to it meeting Felony criteria. We are filing something with the SC Labor & Licensing Board as well. We have an exhausting trail of emails for which Mr. B********* acknowledges our desire to sever the contract, to claiming he would hir4e an attorney to silence followed by when will your home be ready for us to complete the project. Our next course of action is law enforcement and court. This company is appalling. Complete thievery.Initial Complaint

Low Country Contractors (LCC) were contracted on 10/21/2021 in the amount of $62,317.96 to renovate our Master Bathroom/Bedroom. Demolition started around 3/21/2022. Work progressed- off & on -until July-Aug 2022. Final payment was made on 9/06/2022.
On 10/25/2022, we noticed a crack on the toilet base (see photos attached) and on 10/27/2022 contacted LCC (Jeremy W*****) indicating that it should be covered under warranty.
LCC (CarrieL**) contacted the supplier and a replacement toilet (of the exact same model) was shipped to LCC.
CarrieLee called when the replacement toilet was received by LCC from the supplier and a date scheduled (1/20/2023 ) to replace the toilet. Unfortunately, she had a death in the family and the job inadvertently was not put on the schedule.
There have been several attempts to reschedule but then LCC stopped answering my phone calls.
Our desired settlement is the toilet be replaced with the same model ( or higher value of our choice) and the old toilet removed from our property and properly disposed.
The cost of the replacement toilet, installation, removal and disposition would be paid by Low Country Contractors.Business Response

The ********'s toilet had a manufacturer defect. We reached out to the manufacturer and the sent us a replacement toilet. We opened the toilet sent to us and it was cracked as well, so we contacted Kohler and they sent us another one. Once we inspected the new toilet we found it to be in perfect condition and contacted the ********'s to schedule an installation date. They were unable to schedule the install at that time. We have since reached out to them today to schedule the new installation. The toilet is being installed this Friday between 9am and 11am.Customer Answer

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.The new toilet was installed on Friday, the old toilet was removed and taken off the premises as requested. The plumbing subcontractor was very good.
We would like to thank the new management at LLC for the quick response, apologies and the desire to make things right. ˜
In light of this, BBB please keep this complaint private.
Thank you again.

Low Country Contractors (LCC) was hired in March 2022 to transition and existing screened porch to an enclosed porch. We paid a significant deposit for the cost of hurricane rated windows at the signing of the contract. The Building Permit was not issued until 09/15/2022 related to ARB /HOA approvals. At that time LCC was to order the windows and schedule the project initiation. We were told the windows should be delivered in early Nov.
In Nov , we were told there was a delay, but the windows were expected in early January and that demo and framing would start just before Christmas. We opted to delay the start until early January. At that time, we were then told the windows were never ordered. After significant discussion, we agreed to stay with LCC for the project after the owner, Jeremy B*********, agreed to be our POC and project manager.
Demo, floor revision and framing started in early March. The windows finally arrived and were installed. However, the interior window color was not correct, the door was the wrong size and one window was missing. LCC agreed to work with us to "make it right". We finally reach agreement that included changing the plan to include the incorrect interior window color. Throughout the process and since agreeing to move forward, the LCC team have been horrible communicators - not responding to emails, text or phone calls. Since agreeing to accept the wrong windows, LCC has failed to meet a promised construction schedule planning timeline to us and have not responded to repeated attempts to communicate by any/all methods for the last few days.
We are on our 4th project manager. There is little to no LCC on-site supervision. Constant inspection by us was required to prevent an incorrect and not agreed to floor leveling technique and sub-floor installation. Ceiling and sub-floor foam installation was performed when we were not at home and does not meet the promised coverage and thickness. The HVAC is only half installed.Business Response

Lowcountry Contractors entered into a contract to convert a screen porch to a sunroom and install bronze windows and doors for Mr. *****. During the pre-construction meeting, we met with Mr. ***** and reviewed the window specifications with him at his home. Mr. ***** approved the window order by signature and initialed beside each individual window and door specification prior to Lowcountry Contractors placing the order. It is our policy to require homeowner approval with each window project since there are so many options available to homeowners with custom windows including size, color, grid pattern, etc.. The windows and doors were ordered upon receiving Mr. *****'s approval.
Once the windows arrived, we installed the windows without Mr. ***** mentioning anything to Lowcountry Contractors about his dislike of the bronze colored interior until after the windows were in place. Mr. ***** informed us he did not like windows that were installed, and he thought they should have a bronze exterior and white interior. We referred Mr. ***** back to the specifications he approved which clearly stated a bronze interior and bronze exterior.
Nevertheless, Lowcountry Contractors made every effort to work with Mr. ***** to help satisfy him as a valued client. We involved both 84 Lumber and Andersen Windows to see if they would assist as well. They both declined, since Mr. ***** had indeed approved all of the windows in writing.
Mr. ***** requested that we stop work on the project until he could meet with his interior designer to see if she liked the bronze windows. After their meeting, it was determined they did not like the color they had ordered.
We were exploring options on ordering new windows and securing a delivery time frame from the manufacturer to let Mr. ***** know should he decide to order new windows when Mr. ***** reached out to Lowcountry Contractors and said he would keep the existing windows in an effort to keep the project moving forward but we had to meet his demands. His demands included switching out his exterior door for a custom sized taller exterior door, providing him with a new custom Mahogany interior door and provide him with a credit.
After much thought and consideration, we agreed we could switch out the exterior door, provide him with the Mahogany interior door and give him a $5,000.00 credit in hopes that we could satisfy the client and move forward. He refused our offer.
Mr. ***** came back requesting all of his demands be met and give him a $35,000.00 credit. The cost of all his requests far exceeded the window and door portion of the contract and we found this request to be excessive.
Lowcountry Contractors made one last attempt to negotiate an agreement with Mr. ***** and increased our credit offer to $7,500.00. Mr. ***** agreed and we received his reply on 7/16/23. Lowcountry Contractors prepared the paperwork and sent it to him for formal approval on 7/18/23. On 7/19/23, Mr. ***** approved the agreement by signature. On 7/19/23 the very same day that our agreement was signed, Mr. ***** sent an email stating that he filed a complaint with the BBB and was moving forward with legal action with his attorney. Another example of Mr. ***** not adhering to an agreement with his signature.
After numerous attempts to work with Mr. *****, it is clear he does not intend on allowing us to complete the project nor want us to follow through on our generous offer made to him. Lowcountry Contractors will be submitting a final invoice for all the unpaid work that has been completed to date.
I have attached the approved window order and credit agreement signed by Mr. *****.

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:The response from LCC is dishonest and a gross misrepresentation of the facts. I have attached the original window order that clearly defines the white interior planned to match the current house windows. LCC "forgot" to order the windows in the fall of 2022. When we caught this in Jan 2023, the LCC salesperson, Brett Morris, came to the property to re-measure all of the windows and doors to confirm the correct sizes. I was provided the order sheet and requested to confirm the number and sizes of the windows and the doors. I assumed that they didn't change color for the original attached quote. .
When the windows were being installed, we immediately informed LCC that the wrong color was delivered. We also informed them that one window was missing and that the door was the wrong size (different from the order sheet I initialed). LCC met with us on-site and agree that (1) we were missing a window (2) the door and over door transom were the wrong size and (3) that a clerical mistake occurred in the ordering process that switched the interior window color from white to bronze. They agreed to "make things right" and order the correct windows and door/transom. I have the messages and emails that confirm this plan.
In June, Brett Morris returned to the property to measure the door and windows in preparation for placing this new order. After that, communication deteriorated and LCC ghosted us and slow rolled the process. They completed none of the promised "other project" work and removed the required site porta-potty. No work has been do on site since the end of May 2023. It even appears that they failed to extend the building permit and, to our knowledge, have had no inspections. Realizing that we were being "slow rolled" on the project, we contacted them to explore options that could move the project forward. We proposed exploring a way to negotiate an agreement that would have us to keep the incorrect windows in return to priority completion and other concessions. The proposal included LCC installing the correct door/transom, the missing window, changing an interior white french door to a mahogany door to match the incorrect window color and for a monetary incentive compensation. LCC agreed, but offered only a $5000 rebate. We countered, accepting the provisions but requesting a $35,000 credit, about 50% of the estimated cost of the full replacement of the incorrect windows. LCC countered with a $7500 offer that we finally accepted (7/14/23), in the hopes of completing the project before the end of summer. Post agreement, Jeremy Blackstock promised to have the "priority" site work schedule to us on Monday 7/17/23.
We did not hear from LCC on Monday 7/17/23 as promised. Attempts to contact all LCC team members late Monday for a project update by text, email and phone were not answered. On Tuesday, Jeremy responded and promised a detailed plan by that day. Repeated contact attempts to confirm the plan late Tuesday afternoon (7/18/23) were not answered. On Wednesday, 7/19/23, 5 calls were placed to Blackstone, Morris and Ferguson that went unanswered. Additionally, they were messaged and sent multiple emails. Realizing that the behavior since coming to an agreement was no different than prior to the agreed settlement, I filed the complaint with the BBB, assuming that a company with an advertised AAA+ BBB rating would respond professionally and act in a manner commensurate that rating. I informed Jeremy Blackstock of my BBB complaint on Wednesday evening, then received a near immediate response!
I have attempted to contact Jeremy / LCC twice since last Wednesday to see if they had a plan to move this project to completion, but as in the past, Jeremy/ LCC DOES NOT RESPOND.
At present time, the project is :
Missing (1)window and the correct sized door and transom. The framing is 75% complete and a porch step down remains too high and out of code. The HVAC is 50% installed. The electrical is 50 % complete. Insulation is 50% complete. Exterior siding and trim work hasn't started. Interior trim work hasn't started. Mantel and cabinet work haven't started.
This complaint could be settle if LCC performs the work promised under the agreement we reached on 7/14/23 and interacts with us in an honest and professional manner.
Sincerely,
******* *****Business Response

The windows were ordered exactly as approved and signed off on by the client. Lowcountry Contractors has attempted to resolve issues with the homeowner including offering multiple solutions to keep the project moving forward. Our most recent attempt to please the customer included agreeing to order one custom entry door, one custom mahogany door, one custom made Andersen window, as well as other concessions. Immediately following our attempts, the homeowner filed a complaint within hours with the Better Business Bureau and notified us that he was meeting with his attorney to pursue Lowcountry Contractors legally. We immediately withdrew our generous offer and chose to follow the signed contract scope of work and the client signed window and door order. Additionally, the client has an unpaid invoice for $38,898.57 for work that has already been completed on his home.
We have contacted our attorney, and we are preparing a new agreement for the homeowner to review which includes paying all unpaid invoices in full before we proceed with additional work. We are very hopeful we can resolve this matter promptly with the homeowner and move forward soon.

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because: As in all of the prior responses, Mr B********* is unable to truthfully present the events of the case. LCC has a "tremination" change order on file dated 26 July 2023, effectively ending their involvement with the remodel. This change order states that it was approved by the client. This never happened. Despite my attempts to move things forward in a professional manner, LCC hasn't returned e-mails since 19 July, when I informed them of my
contact with the BBB.As to the allegation of unpaid funds, LCC hasn't completed the work we have already paid for and we estimate LCC has between $15,000-$26,000 of project funds still owed to us (but already paid for). LCC, however, did present us with a demand invoice for the entire project residual, including work not yet started. We have recently been approached by the HVAC sub-contractor requesting payment for the HVAC work. The subcontractor reported that Jeremy B********* denied knowledge of the project.
On 1 August 2023, I sent a Right to Cure letter to Mr B********* as required prior to initiating a legal action for breach of contract, among other possible complaints.
The issues of the wrong colored window order was resolved on 14 July, prior to this complaint being filed. Mr B*********'s continued reference to it, despite overwhelming evidence that LCC did know the color of the project windows and clearly wrongly ordered the windows is counterproductive to this case at this point. Rather, the fact that one window is still missing, the door is the incorrect size and that the electrical work, insulation, HVAC, framing, and floor leveling are incomplete needs to be the focus. Also, that LCC is/was unable to present and /or keep promised schedules and minimally, if at all, supervised the work of the subs is of issue.
Lastly, we discovered that the building permit expired on 15 March 2023, prior to any of the work starting. The permit was never renewed.

September 27, 2022 I met Yunhee S*** of Low Country Contractors to discuss converting an existing screened porch to a glassed-enclosed sunroom.
Yunhee came to my house with Katherine B*******, Skylar D***** and Greg D******** for a site visit.
October 4, 2022 I sent a wire transfer for $100,000. to cover one half of the total due.
October 24, 2022 I received files from LCC to be submitted to the Design Review Board, along with a check for $1500.
November 7, 2022 I received approval for the project fromt he DRB.
November 10, 2022 I received an e-mail from Yunhee saying that she was leaving the company (LCC) but that I would be in good hands with KB, SD, and GD.
There was discussion of going with Marvin Windows as their price was the best. I was told to expect 3-4 months due to supply chain issues. That was not a surprise to me so we figured we would regroup in March 2023.
3/10, 2023: Ryan from LCC rang to cancel our meeting and to reschedule for 3/13. 3/12 Ryan rang to change the date to 3/15.
3/ 15 Ryan called to cancel as he was stuck at home wiith a sick child.
3/27 Ryan canceled as he was sick.
Ryan promised to call on April 17. He did not.
4/19, I reached Ryan and he committed to start work on May 3.
May 3,4,5, Ryan said that family members of his P.M. had been killed in a motorcycle accident.
None of my daily e-mails were answered.
5/ 18 'Carrie' rang promising to get to the bottom of this and get back to me on May 22. She did not.
5/ 22, I wrote one e-mail and sent it to all my contactsat LCC asking anyone for an update and to confirm that the windows actually had arrived. I could not understand how they could have promised to begin on May 1, if, in fact, the windows were not ready. 5/ 24, I received an e-mail from Jeremy B********* the owner of the company, telling me to only contact him from this point on. He promised to call me back several times but didn't.
6/8: I sent another e-mail requesting an update.
6/10. I rang but his voice mailbox was full.Business Response

We are under contract with Ms. ******* to convert a screen porch to a glass enclosed sunroom. We facilitated architectural drawings after contract that have been adesign and pproved by the homeowner's HOA. Once approval with the HOA was confirmed, the windows were ordered. The homeowner informed us that she would be out of town in July and August and has requested a start date sometime after Labor Day.
The homeowner reached out to me last week requesting an update, but I was out of the office on family vacation. An auto-reply was set up on my email letting those trying to contact me know I would be out. I responded to Ms. ******* today and let her know we are still on schedule for a start after Labor Day and requested a meeting on-site to make sure we are all on the same page.

We hired Low Country Contractors in early 2022 to remodel the first floor of our home. We enjoyed working with their team to redesign our home and were excited as the project got underway. By August of 2022 the majority of our project had been completed except for some final clean up items and the installation of our front door. There were delays getting our new front door delivered so the plan was to address all of our final clean up items when the door was to be installed. Our front door arrived to the local supplier in November of 2022. Since that time we have been unable to schedule anyone to complete our project. We have been handed off to three different project managers and have been continually scheduled and rescheduled for more than 7 months. We have called, texted and emailed various members of the Low Country team countless times to no avail. The team has either been unresponsive or makes promises to ‘make things right’ yet still nobody has shown up at our house to complete the remaining items. Most recently we have decided to hire a new company to complete our project at our own expense. I communicated this decision to two members of their team to which I received no response which speaks to their lack of concern for our project. We have found the disregard of our project to be both disrespectful and unacceptable and unfortunately now we are having to double pay for a non trivial amount of work. Low Country Contractors has failed to live up to the expectations promised to us at the start of this project and for that I would not recommend working with their team.Business Response

As the homeowner acknowledged, Lowcountry Contractors substantially completed the work as contractually obligated on a very large contract. Mr. ****** is a very important client to Lowcountry Contractors and we value him as a client. As others in our industry have experienced, we encountered supply chain issues with the front door that were beyond our control. During this time, our company reassigned several project managers to other projects while we were waiting on the door to arrive. We stayed in constant communication with Mr. ****** during this time, and our Senior Estimator personally engaged in expediting the door delivery and completion of the punch list items. Once the door arrived, we communicated this with Mr. ****** and arranged for our earliest install date with our best crew. Unfortunately, the week the installation was planned, our crew had two members get sick and we felt it best to not send sick crew members to install the door. This is a policy implemented when we adjusted to COVID-19 standards. We are ready and able to reschedule the work with Mr. ****** and fully stand behind all of our work. We have reached out to the homeowner and informed him that we will gladly complete any outstanding punch list items, and/or issue a refund for incomplete contracted work. Our desire is to satisfy the homeowner and fulfill our obligations.Initial Complaint

I hired Lowcountry Contractors in November of 2020 for a cosmetic remodel of a bathroom, add a small front porch, and put new siding on my house. The job which should not have taken more than two months is still not finished. So a two month job is now going on two years. They have left me with half done work including holes in ceilings and walls for over a year, as well as months without a front door. I have gone through 4 project managers, all of whom ended up being transparent about the fact that I was not the only customer in this situation. They are continuing on the work, but I believe they owe me a significant discount. I have spent nearly $100,000 with them. I came to you site wondering if others had filed complaints, but now I can't even find them in your listings even though they tout a BBB A+ rating on their website. https://lowcountrycontractors.com/
You are asking for supporting documents. I do have pictures of half finished work, etc. I also have text chains that promise things that were not met. If you can let me know what would be most helpful I will be able to provide that.Business Response

Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2022/08/05) */
******* Summary
Lowcountry Contractors was contracted with Mrs. ******* for an interior bathroom remodel and a siding project on 11/25/2020.
The interior bathroom project was started on 3/2/2022 and pretty much was completed on anticipated schedule with the exception of brief periods in which we were instructed not to work by the homeowner and a brief period when our project manager was forced to quarantine with covid. The project was substantially completed on 6/18/2022 which under the circumstances and the delays that were beyond our control is more than reasonable for this scope of work.
The exterior siding project grew in scope from the time of contract which created significant design times due to homeowner final approval and increased permitting requirements. The project was approved by the homeowners HOA on 3/14/2022 and a conditional permit for the siding portion of the project only was released by Mount ******** to help expedite the siding replacement portion of the project. The permit for the extensive design elevation change was issued on 4/14/2022. Upon permit issuance, Lowcountry Contractors ordered material and scheduled work. The concrete foundation inspection was approved on 6/10/2022 and the Framing inspection was just approved on 8/4/2022. It should be noted that we experienced more than average rain days in July and currently inspection times in Mount ******** are longer than usual at this time. We are progressing as planned and should be completed with this project sometime in October, weather permitting.
We offer the following responses to the specific complaints Mrs. ******* submitted in her complaint to the Better Business Bureau.
Timeframe: This project involved to separate contract. One for the interior project which was completed within a more than reasonable time frame. The second contract was for an exterior project which came to require increased documentation for HOA approval and permitting. This also included a full-blown design which required structural engineering, architectural plans, drainage plan, a survey and design input & approval by the owner. Once obtained HOA approval was issued on 3/14/2022 and the building permit issued on 4/14/2022.
Project Managers: We have different project managers for interior projects vs. exterior projects. So the minimum amount of project managers this project would have had would have been two. Due to the length of the project, we decided to shuffle project managers around to projects that were active during design and permit approval. Additionally, we are staffed with an Area Manager and a Quality Control Manager who monitors progress and communicates with the customers. It is possible, that Mrs. ******* has confused them as project managers.
Project Left Unfinished: It became necessary to replace sheathing on the exterior of her home not included in the original contract. Anytime, this type of activity, there is a high likely hood that the owner could experience interior nail pops. Although, that is not part of our contracted work to repair, we have repaired those and painted for no cost to the homeowner. The homeowner chose the paint color but is now unhappy with the color she chose. We presented her with a change order to repaint with a new color of her choosing for $1,500.00, which she approved in writing. We attempted to collect payment for the additional work and she only paid us $1,000.00
Discount: Pricing has risen significantly since we originally contracted with Mrs. ******* and we have not requested an increase to the contract even though most of these delays were due to design and permitting. These increases would be significant, but it is our company policy to hold our pricing regardless of market conditions. Lowcountry Contractors will not be offering any other discounts.
It is our intent to complete this project as designed and permitted and with the same level of quality that we provide all our satisfied customers. Upon completion we will perform our internal quality control inspection and perform a thorough walk through with the homeowner. Should, the homeowner find any areas unsatisfactory, we will address the issues and repair them to code, industry standard, and/or product manufacturer's installation best practices, whichever is more stringent.
If there is any more information needed, please let us know, and we will provide promptly.
Please see attachments in subsequent email.
Respectfully,
Jeremy B*********

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Lowcountry Contractors has not accurately represented the scope of the contract or the timelines.
The bathroom work began in February of 2021 and was not completed until after July 20th 2021, where I have written communications from the PM, Kristos, about still working on getting the plumber over to get the tub spout. This bathroom remodel was not a wall moving ordeal. It was a new shower/tub, new toilet, new vanity, new floors, and add a window for a relatively small bathroom. If properly managed, it shouldn't have taken more than a month. For several months, the bathroom was unusable, which was very difficult in a household of 5 who then all had to share a single shower. That is extremely difficult during the school year. They gutted it quickly, do one little piece of work, then there would be weeks between the next piece of work. And technically the work in the bathroom still isn't complete since the new window issue still isn't resolved. At some point a hole was punched into the wall so they could see whatever it was they needed to see. They covered it with thin siding lining and left it for months, leaving it so there was nothing insulating us from outside temperatures. Similarly they installed a new *** upstairs and left holes in the ceiling which has no insulating barrier to the outside save for roof shingles. These holes are still there. It has been over a year, and they couldn't even bother to patch the three holes.
I have in writing from PM Kristos in January of 2021 that he would have the porch drawings to me in a week. I did not have these drawings until 2022, and they were HAND DRAWN like a *** **** them. The porch was part of the original scope, but they did not quote me the right price at first, so they sent a change order which I approved in early 2021. It added around $15k to the scope, which I have already payed.
Regarding the paint color change, I said I would pay for the changes, but the scope of the re-painting was not correct. They claimed to have to repaint more than they did. I asked PM Ed to correct the change order and quote with only having to repaint 2 walls instead of 4 walls and gave him $1000 in the meantime to express good faith that I am not trying to hold out, but rather have an accurate change order that I feel comfortable signing off on.
Re-siding work began in March, but to date is still not complete. I approved and paid a change order for new plywood around the whole house as soon as it was brought up. The siding work is still not complete. There are boards they let sit for months in my driveway uncovered that are now chipped as they put it up. I have had gutters laying in my yard this whole time, killing the grass and letting water pool around the foundation whenever it rains. It was only this week that vent covers were put on. And they have not put ANY caulk, which has left the new siding and plywood exposed to water damage for 4 months now. When I asked about it today, PM Ed told me he couldn't guarantee that they would do the caulk, that he would have to check my contract. Totally unacceptable. I was told they were certified by Hardie to do this work. I am sure Hardie would not certify uncaulked siding.
Also, after tearing out the fireplace in prep to build the new front porch, securing permitting lagged so we were without a front door with a boarded up front of the house from April 7th at least until July 10th. And by boarded up I mean siding liner and some pallets nailed up for weeks. Finally after I sent multiple pictures of water coming in when it was raining, they hammered in some plywood on the inside and taped up the hole in the roof (from where the fireplace was removed). That was all between us and the outside in the SC heat. Costly and unsafe. During this time many neighbors were under the assumption we weren't living here, which is probably why during this time someone tried to break into our house through the back door one night, though luckily I had set our alarm and it scared them away. I mentioned this to PM Andrew, PM Ed, and whichever site manager I spoke to last month, and I STILL don't have ANY exterior lights that work. I live here with my 4 children, and still we can't even get outdoor safety lighting.
Also, I have video of the day they tore out the fireplace and didn't even both to cover the BRAND NEW floors that they installed. I think it was raining even. I was told this was unacceptable and that this crew was fired.
I have heard directly from Lowcountry management that they realize the timelines are unacceptable, and that they will get right on things. Quite a different message than what I am hearing in their BBB response. Almost two years later, I'm still dealing with this. I have missed out on opportunities for income from renting while out of town. I also lost out on the opportunity to sell when the Mount ******** market was white hot.
I am so disappointed by the lack of honesty and transparency in Lowcountry Contractor's response to the BBB that it seems legal action is appropriate. I relied on their BBB rating, customer reviews, and the relationship the co-owner/salesman Sean Cartwright had with my late husband. He looked me in the eye and said he would take care of me. Lowcountry Contractors ought to be ashamed of their work and how they have handled this situation, trying to blame me for their s****comings. At the end of the day, Lowcountry Contractors is at best extremely disorganized and at worst exploitative. In either case it is crazy that they are trying to represent to you the work they have done as reasonable.
